Fluent English in all aspects. I speak good Mandarin Chinese (Can understand everything used in everyday life), and read a little less, and write even less. I'm a first year Japanese student, so I can engage in simple conversation... Since I'm Chinese, I can also guess at many of the kanji and what a particular sentence means.

I can speak standard American English, and of course California English. Im fully proficient in all the tonal differences for "dude". Every other sentance starts with "Ya know". The proper use of "hella" is an East Bay thing.

I understand a few hundred words in spoken Cantonese. I have trouble understanding sentances, I mainly know that name of objects and simple phrases.

English and Mandarin. A little Japanese (very little).
I am capable of rearranging the fundamental building blocks of the universe in under six seconds. I shelve physics texts under "Fiction" in my personal library! I am grasping the reigns of the universe's carriage, and every morning get up and shout "Giddy up, boy!" You may never grasp the complexities of what I do, but at least have the courtesy to feign something other than slack-jawed oblivion in my presence. I, sir, am a wizard, and I break more natural laws before breakfast than of which you are even aware!

Since we're all including dialects of English, I can understand Pidgin English (Used in Hawaii, other Pacific Islands), and standard English.

I think that's mostly we Americans padding out our totals so we don't look completely insular.

Hehe, true. But I do speak other languages :D

If you ever talk to somebody who speaks Pidgin English, the common American's reaction would probably be "...is he gay?"

My German is "somewhat okay" and my Hebrew is "pretty darn good".

Both have sufficed with the ladies in the countries where they are spoken, so I am satisfied.
Something about Libertarianism always bothered me. Then one day, I realized what it was:
Libertarian philosophy can be boiled down to the phrase, "Work Will Make You Free."

In Libertarianism, there is no Government, so the Bosses are free to exploit the Workers.
In Communism, there is no Government, so the Workers are free to exploit the Bosses.
So in Libertarianism, man exploits man, but in Communism, its the other way around!

Incidently craic is NOT a miss spelling of a class A drug. I spend a long time explaining that to a few non-irish people i met at a youth politics conference once.

English. I can pull off a basic conversation in Spanish. I took French for a few years so if I look at my notes I may be able to speak it again. And I'm an expert at pig latin. :D

I can speak English, Bengali and some Hindi and Urdu as well as a little Turkish. I can also read and write Arabic but is very poor at speaking it.

Regarding accents or variations of English I can understand the Irish accent somewhat having lived in the Irish coastal city of Galway. I have also stayed in New York but my US accent is not like a genuine American. In simple words I lack an accent and talk english the way it is.
Hopefully I will be able to improve my US accent once I arrive in the US for higher education next year.

Fluent English, functional French, a few phrases in Mandarin and a word or two of Japanese.

I was taking a course in Mandarin Chinese as one of my necessary arts electives at college, but had to drop it for a variety of reasons. I later picked up a book/tape to try to learn Japanese, but I'm having a fairly rough time with it.

Let me tell you, Mandarin is one of the most logical, consistant and overall well-designed languages I've ever encountered. Japanese is, well, not.
