My pick was Team Jedi. After all Kenobi found the deleted planetary system of Camino so he is good at finding things like a man living in a cabin in the woods.

Kenobi had connections that helped him to find camino. I wouldn't have the same connections to aid him on earth.

My point is that he is smart enough to go into channels that are not considered conventional. He is willing to shop around.

I say it goes to COMPNOR. They can just grab a guy off the street and force a confession out of him. Or just forget the confession, seeing as he's already guilty. If he wasn't guilty, he wouldn't be a suspect, would he?

Is the Princess Leia foce trained or pre force trained? The reason i ask is that In the Crystal Star. Leia was able to track the kidnappers of her kids from another star system. And she was only half trained. As such all the force users have a much larger advantage than the mortals. IN the end i'll give it to Obi and Yoda. As light side Jedi from the glory days of the Republic they have more experience in these things. Investigation of serrious crimes is part of their regular duties. Vader when he has looked for things hasn't been very successful.

I'd say Vader's team wins; they have Force powers and unlike the Jedi are quite willing to be ruthless about using them to interrogate people. Fett would be second, as he has better underworld connections than Obi-Wan; everyone else is way behind. .

The bounty hunters, followed by COMPNOR. Fett is smart enough to not only search for the bomber, but also to keep tabs on the other teams to see what they've got. Which allows him to steal the capture if worst comes to worst and he doesn't figure out where the bomber is first.

The Jedi's have a fairly good lead and so far not one single vote for any Star Trek team

Where are all of the Trekkies gone to. I usually have at least one vote for Kirk and Co.

Only slightly force trained. Anyway she appeared to have some inate skill that she used unconsciously.

I give it to the Jedi team. Yoda seems to have stronger cognitive Force abilities than Vader, so Yoda should be able to precog more readily than Vader. The Jedi have no problems using their lightsabers to disarm someone even when they haven't been attacked just yet.

Obi-Wan also managed to get what's-her-name to come to him while Anakin was looking around, showing more, umm, foresight or something, than the one who would become Vader.

The Jedi also don't mind using the Force to do "good" things ("you want to rethink your life"). I think that'd include some quick mind probes, considering the situation. They might be able to find the bomber before he even knows they're on his trail.

For those voting for COMPNOR, what "strong-arm tactics" would Vader and Tarkin be able to use that Yoda and Obi-Wan wouldn't, that would still catch the correct guy?

The Jedi team. The force will be a valuable ally in this endeavor, and while Vader would it more freely he can only cover half the ground. Tarkin might be good at running a center to process information, but he’s not really the collecting type.

You have a point there! Strang arm Tactics are only good at scaring people to say what you want them to. So if they pick up the wrong guy and then force a confession out of him then you have caught the Unabomber but not the right one. how many Unabombers could COMPNOR catch before they actually get it right?
