Hey, this is the feel good thread! And now you go and make Zaia feel sad!

Not all teachers are bad! I miss some of them, as a matter of fact!

Yeah, there are those teachers. But I'm sure Zaia is one of those really cool teachers. :D

let me clear that up.

I hate the extremely boring teachers that give out shitload after shitload of homework. the cool teachers are ok. (Hell, i visit my old junior high from time to time just to talk to the cool teachers.)

It's ok, guys. I'm over it now. :D

In case you're curious, check this out. It's the photograph I was telling you about, that I have framed for Brian's roommate.

Go here: http://www2.dailynewspix.com/index.asp

Click on "WTC before 9/11" on the left.

Go to page 2.

It's the second picture in the bottom row (#N1691359). John Duprey. The title of the photo is "Vertigo," and they actually have it wrong--the man should be at the bottom of the photo, not on the side.

My grandfather had two construction workers hold his ankles so he could dangle himself over the edge and take the picture. I don't know if you can get a feel for how cool it is being such a small replication, but it's a very cool photograph.

So that's what I framed for Brian's roommate. And apparently it works in IE and not Opera....

You know, I saw the coolest WTC picture a while back in one of those mall stores. It was one of those painting that light up, and it was of the pre-9-11 NYC skyline. It was very moving, and I wish I had bought it. Hell, I might go buy it now!

Though if there was a framed print somewhere of decent quality of that one with the WTC shot at night with the Statue of Liberty in the foreground, and an eagle's head bowed imposed over it, I'd get that as well. Especially a well done illuminated one.

Anyway, I keep seeing a lot of threads about the negatives in your life. I do so positive stuff, but it seems outweighed by the negative. Thusly, I decided to start this. Post in here the good things you've done in a day, things that either made you feel better, or made someone else feel better. Or random nice things somebody's done for you. Things of that sort.

I have one, but I guess I'll wait and see what happens to this thread before I post it.
I'm currently rather pleased with myself because I've actually made progress on my writing.

Good feelings? Well, despite it being summer, it hasn't been that great so far. However, things will probably get better once I come back from a week of camp, since I'll appreciate being near civilization again. Also, most of my summer so far has been spent helping the family prepare to move, which induced a lot of stress and took up time. And I haven't had much free time considering I ususally get to bed by 2-3 in the morning and get 6-8 hours of sleep.

Just so you know, in case you didn't actually look at the photo, this one isn't like that. It's all about perspective, instead of about light, shadow and effect. Just so you know.

But it still kicks ass. Not that I'm biased or anything. :D

I'm willing to bet it would last longer if it was placed in a forum similar to the HOS. Not in terms of content, but in the fairly low volume of new posts. I didn't start it in the HOS, though, since it's supposed to be a good thread and that just didn't seem appropriate.

So, short of stickying it, or a lot of people posting in it repeatedly to keep it near the top, it'll probably get buried eventually here in OT. :|

I looked. :)

I like construction photos. Reminds me of the wierdest dream I had in about October-November of 2001. It would be highly off topic to post in here though, so I guess if you're truely curious you could PM me about it. :)

I was just reading the breast size thread at SB when I realized I had music playing. That made me smile.

Standing outside in an open field facing into the wind on an autumn day causes a very overwhelming feeling within me. The only other thing that feels rather good is your mind going through a game of chess.

Getting done with a good long run with the rest of the cross-country team, about 7:30 PM on a nice warm summer evening. If I live for anything, I live for that.

In case anyone hadn't figured out this trick yet, all you have to do when smeone types in tiny font is press the "Quote" button and you can read the text in the reply screen.

Finished my BA! Finally! Started writing again! WooHoo!

All I need now is love and money.
Something about Libertarianism always bothered me. Then one day, I realized what it was:
Libertarian philosophy can be boiled down to the phrase, "Work Will Make You Free."

In Libertarianism, there is no Government, so the Bosses are free to exploit the Workers.
In Communism, there is no Government, so the Workers are free to exploit the Bosses.
So in Libertarianism, man exploits man, but in Communism, its the other way around!
