Actually, I believe the idea was discussed once and it was determined that by second post it would become a spamfest.

It will be locked cause some mods will consider it spam,and congrats on your 500+ post count.

THere would be a limit... Something like only every time you gain a rank, or a big # (like in the 100s if you are below 1000, and then after that, every 1000 posts or new rank)

WOO! Someone just used me as a reference!

Although I do believe that big numbers such as 1000, new titles, 5000, and 10000, stuff like that should be posted as topics.

Edit: And if someone posts a thread about a certain amount of posts and someone else reaches a noteworthy post count they should use the same thread instead of making a new one.

True, but maybe instead of a mod just locking your thread, he should attach your old milestone thread, then lock it, so that people can see how little you've matured since then, and that you really don't deserve any sort of custom title.
