Buckets of Blood
Has anyone seen the anime series Berserk?
If you want to see someone wading through a lake of blood and singlehandedly kill a hundred men with a sword bigger than Cloud's, this is your anime.

Funky isn't it?
Seen the first two DVD's...need to get the rest from my friend.
Heard it gets even worse, carnage wise...though the game wasn't bad, the sword was a bit unwieldly.

I saw the entire series last night (I was up 'til 5). The first 5 DVDs are here (got them from Blockbuster), but the sixth isn't available in legal form just yet.Ghost Rider wrote:Funky isn't it?

I'm about halfway through it. I feel like kicking my ass every time I finish an episode.Admiral Valdemar wrote:I'm watching Excel Saga now.
Episode 5 and already my head feels so much lighter now that those brain cells have died off.

I'm studying for the CPA exam. Have a nice summer, and if you're down just sit back and realize that Joe is off somewhere, doing much worse than you are.

My last serious animé was Read Or Die (my avatar is from it, the British Library taskforce). It comes out on DVD in August, if it has any extras then I'm getting it.

Read or Die is awesome (though not really serious; come on, her superpower is control over paper). I plan to pick up the DVD if I have money.Admiral Valdemar wrote:It's like cocaine for the seriously retarded, I love it!

Ghost Rider, what is Groo?

Bah, apart from the superpowers, it's still set in a reality that, compared to Excel Saga, is bloody Shakespearean drama.Dalton wrote:Read or Die is awesome (though not really serious; come on, her superpower is control over paper). Groo is ol comic by Mark Evainer and Sergio Aragones.Dalton wrote: Ghost Rider, what is Groo?
Basically think of a warrior so stupid yet so invincible...that he can slaughter an army of locust, priest and gods...all in the search for a cheese sandwich.
Fun comic...Darkhorse still makes em.
I use it as a comparision because as serious as beserk is...the thought of the bodies by the hundreds and whatnot always remind me of groo(who is a paradoy of Conan)
