Heavy Planetary Defense Weapon - Cerberon Cannon

This is a planetary defense weapon inspired by the KDY w-165 Planetary Turbolaser(ref. SW:EGWT) and Cerberon's Big Gun(ref. Quake 2).

Cleaned-up pic of the Monitor (I think I'll call this one the 'Prototype')

http://www.daltonator.net/images/sn0/ef ... grade).gif

Upgraded the engines (another gravitic propulsion blade as per the Stormbringer) and PD weapons to Repeating Ion Cannons. Also put a 'small' EGAD (Enhanced Gravitic Anomaly Detector: think of it as a primitive CGT sensor) unit on the bottom of the main sensor spar. This brings the ship up to EFNI's 'Brightwarrior' Standard. This will be the production model.

ROTFLMAO!!!!

It's 480 meters tall btw, and has a Hypermatter reactor. I estimate its output at 500gigatons a shot, sixty shots per minute! Easily enough for several in concert to down an ISD...

Behold the Power of Fiver Technowank!!!

This time it's a Thunderbolt StarFury and a Minbari Nial's bastard child. :) This fighter was introduced some ten years after the Stormbringer class Dreadnaughts went in service (ca. AD 2345)

http://www.daltonator.net/images/sn0/Pr ... arfury.gif

This ship is designed with the following quote in mind:
EFNI Damocles Report Pt. 1 wrote:For the fighters, is needed a shifting from the plasma based weapons to Q-lasers with extremely high rate of fire. This armement must be supplemented with short/medium range missiles with focal fusion warheads.
It has eight miniaturized Q-Spoiled Hard-Ray Pulse Laser Cannons (four on wings, four on twin-turret mountings) and one four-barrel Gatling Q-Laser on the nose. It also has a miniaturized Twin Ion Array, making for a quite impressive firepower about equalling three Nials. It also has provision for eight missile hardpoints on the wings.

The ship's defense is right on par with the Minbari Nial, being equipped with a full sensor-stealth/jamming system.

The Power and propulsion system are highly advanced, consisting of a highly-classified Quantum Singularity reactor providing generous power to the Gravitic and Ion drives as well as the aforementioned (and very energy-hungry weapons), allowing full weapons firepower even at max burn. Practically the only item missing from this otherwise perfect fighter is a Jump engine. These might be introduced in the next upgrade, making long-range deep fighter strikes a reality. Expect the other races (particularly the League of Non-Aligned Worlds) to shit a few bricks...

EDIT!: Naming Suggestions for this new fighter are Highly appreciated!

Hi all, apologies to Einhander and Rob Wilson right off for not getting anything done but there's a bizarre problem with my new ADSL connection. A lot of the time I try to connect to the SD board now my IP address gets me blocked, as if I'd been a bad boy or something. I mailed Mike and he tried to fix it, but it seems to come and go depending on what IP my providers DHCP scope gives me. Consequently I'm having to post while at work most of the time, not the best of fixes but at least i can post again.

These aren't starships... Neither are they really designed to be feasible, it was more of a joke than anything else when I slapped them together years ago, but here are a couple of modification of Star Wars designs...

http://members.optusnet.com.au/~pj1351/LRS-Tank.jpg
The Light Repulsor Seige Tank was designed based on a DF9 Anti-Personnel Gun's turret. As simply observation will tell you, it's not nearly the best design (the medium repeater blaster really should be on top, because where it is it's incapable of firing anywhere but forward).

http://members.optusnet.com.au/~pj1351/OT-ST.jpg
The Omni-Terrain Seige-Transport was loosely inspired by the Amtrak (sp?) Wars books. Basically, it's a heavy track vehicle which can for short periods of time hover on heavy duty repulsors. Though the seige cannons on top really should have more bracing parts on them, compared to the LSR Tank it's not that bad, IMHO.

No worries, take as long as you need on the O-wing, and I can relate to ISP difficulties.

Actually the O-Wing is pretty much complete, but I'm unhappy with the results. I'm going to split the feckin thing in half, or resurface it using another method that I've picked up from a CG industry magazine. At the moment the textures are too low res to be of any use, they dont suit such a high-poly model. The ISP block thing seems to be relaxing, I can get in from home occasionally now. I can only assume that someone on BT ADSL was a very naughty boy and racked up a number of bans using IP addresses in my DHCP scope, so I occasionally get an address this place doesn't like. Still, i can get in from work ok and keep an eye on what's happening. :D

Ah ok. Either way it doesn't look like DA'll be coming back. Unless some asshole goes to SB.

Oh, and Kenny, I'm gonna try to make a top view of the Scorpion ship :)

I can make a small ship in a couple hours, and variants on its design in a small fraction of that time. Weapons i can cook up in a few minutes (unless it's a portrait of a weapon like my Coilgun Sniper Rifle).

Hey Kenny, did you ever get your ADSL On-Again-Off-Again IP-Ban problem fixed? I'd like to eventually get our Camaro Project somewhat back on its feet. Take your time about it tho, I know how Life likes to be an insanely distracting asstard when you got a bunch of irons in the Net.Fire! Lata and Happy Fragging!

This fleet chart depicts all ship classes in use by EFNI. The ships included are Omega Destroyer, Nova Dreadnaught, Nova II Dreadnaught, Nike Battlecruiser, Warlock Destroyer (and a few 'interesting' variants such as a Warlock 'infested' with Vorlon Tech), Lupo Frigate, Vigilante Cutter, Centurion Dreadnaught, Gladium Attack Ship, Zenith Attack Ship, Valkyrie Monitor, Parabellum Corvette, and Stormbringer Superdreadnaught.
