I fully sympathize. My Dad was 6'2", and so was his father. I always wanted to be a six footer, so of course, I stopped growing at 5'9". I blame my 5'1" mother for this.

Did I read what you posted? Of course I did, but did you? I reread what you wrote and I stand by what I said. The words, "There's nothing wrong with tall chicks, so long as they aren't taller than the guy. That would really feel wrong to me," do not refer to YOU specifically; they refer to men in general.

"The guy"---> also a generalization

Nowhere did you say that YOU would feel uncomfortable in that position. You made it sound like it would feel wrong to look upon that. Hence I took offence.

If you meant only you and not men of the world, you should have been more selective with your wording, because what I stated before is most certainly how your statement came (and still comes) across to me.

You should know Z that one of my friends has been going out with a girl who's 5'9 (he's 5'7, like me) for 3 years. He has absolutely no problem with it (he courted her), so umm- yeah that should give you some hope for the opposite sex.

IMO, the whole girls taller than guys thing is pretty much mostly talk. I don't think any guy would really in his right mind not consider a girl because she was taller.

That's certainly not true for short women (at least for me anyways), and the very existence of the short man/tall woman issue would indicate that's not true for short men, either.

Yeah, well, the guy I'm currently in love with is two inches shorter than I am, and a lot of people see that as being "wrong" just like you. I can't help that the man I wish I could spend the rest of my life with is 5'7" and I'm 5'9". Does it really matter?

On a related note, sure, RedImperator, you can have two of my inches. Then I'd be the same height as Brian and then people like Howedar wouldn't look at me like I was a freak.
