He won't be taken seriously. Anything he syas will be mocked, and he will be flamed. Ted wants attention, but he won't be listened to.

And as for the flamewars, HoS all his threads, edit his posts; anything to drive him out.

Yeah, but why screw with it? That takes a lot more effort than just banning him? You want to make him, put him in those shit list threads.

Yeah, but why screw with it? That takes a lot more effort than just banning him? You want to make him, put him in those shit list threads.

Banning is a power that should be used very carefuly, and only as a last resort. And it certainly shouldn't be done without a banning poll, where all options, including the flaming one are represented.

In addition, making Ted the chewtoy would help the members let out steam, that they had been keeping inside them. It will also, hopefully, ameliorate some conflicts. If Ein and Shep, for instance, are both flaming Ted, then, hopefully, they won't have time to flame each other.

If I remember right, Ossus said someone should make one. I would've, but I don't feel I'm "senior" enough with the board to do so. Though if noone else will, I might just go ahead and do it.

He's in college; he's hardly a child. There are fourteen-year-olds on this board with a thousand times more maturity. The majority of this board's age hovers around the 18-year-old mark, and if they all took advantage of the forgiving nature of this board the way Ted has, and went out of their way to offend, degrade, and humiliate, then this board would cease to function. I feel like we as a community have bent over backwards, giving him chance after chance after chance, and I for one am tired of it.

I was one that he singled out once upon a time, and I forgave him entirely (as people may or may not remember), which was surprising to some. I hold no grudge against Ted, but I feel that after a certain point, we must stop letting him take advantage of our willingness to look past his behaviour. People come to this board to have fun, to discuss things intelligents, and to goof off. Ted used to participate in that way, but now he does not.

He just celebrated his 18th birthday.

Actually, I don't remember whether he just finished his freshman year of college or whether he's about to start it. But he's definitely 18.

Fine...but not many want a guy who consistently sees how far he can push the limits to dance around.

If you like him fine...but he's basically decided to become more of an ass then most, and decided for yet another time to see if by acting like loud mouth asshole that pales Shep in cases, to see if oh well...they'll just temp ban.

We've had it done before and he has a record...you don't like it, it'll be duly noted.

My personal opinion is I doubt he will improve any with just a mere 1 week ban. I'd stretch it out to 1 month at least... and then at the first sign he's back to his old shit again after that, ban him permanently.
