Umm, I own a Battle'eh, and let me tell you, that thing is clumsy as hell. It's all brute force.
However, if you want a serious analysis, I would have to again say Ewoks IF they knew the Klingons were coming.
That's the one thing that everyone overlooks about the Return of the Jedi Endor Ground battle.
The Ewoks were prepared. How many anti-At-St weapons did we see? I can recall at least two.
If you look at some of the other literature on the Ewoks and Endor, that place has lots of dangerous predators.
i.e the Gorax, the Duloks, some Marauders, etc.
The Gorax is humandoid and about the size of an AT-ST. (Which explains the trails big enough for the AT-ST's, they were Gorax paths). Suddenly, some of the AT-ST traps make sense.
Duloks and the Maruaders were humansized, and didn't climb tree's, and like to raid the Ewoks for food and slaves...
In other words, the Ewoks have a HUGE experience edge, and the area was pre-trapped.
Put anyone without some kind of force shield technology in that situation, they are screwed.
Why, of Why, didn't the Empire BDZ a 5 kilometer area around the bunker?
Or better yet, Vader stay to gaurd the back door himself
Klingons vs. Ewoks

I don't believe what I am reading here.
Ewoks: Primitive tribal creatures that use spears to fight and fire to cook. They can tie logs to trees (don't ask me how they get them up there) in order to squish large AT-ST's.
Klingons: A spacefaring race that prefers to use Bat'leths, but WILL use ranged weapons when they have to. Sure the Klingons are sometimes stupid and clumsy, but they are an advanced society.
Conclusion: The Klingons decide that Ewoks are vermin (much like Tribbles). Klingons bring a few barrels of blood wine and dine on roasted Ewok.

Klingons: Tends to drop ranged weapons at first chance to go hand to hand, uses clumsy and heavy bladed weapons in hand to hand combat, and rarely do well against even pacifist pansies (ie. Redshirts).Superman wrote:I don't believe what I am reading here.

Ewoks: Besides knowledge in the use of combined arms tactics (this should tell you something right there), and their likely stronger than human strength, they also have natural camoflage and homeside advantage (especially important with all of the traps and their relatively primative artillery hidden all over the place).Klingons: A spacefaring race that prefers to use Bat'leths, but WILL use ranged weapons when they have to. Before the Ewok tribe which lost some of it's members to the Klingon easily overwhelms the Klingons using things such as combined arms tactics and ingeneous traps, and most likely using disruptors which they stole while the ridged-head morons weren't paying attention. Conclusion: The Klingons decide that Ewoks are vermin (much like Tribbles). The Gorax is MUCH bigger than an AT-ST. It is at least 30 meters high, and might conceivably be nearer 45 (it's kind of hard to tell from the pictures of it).The Gorax is humandoid and about the size of an AT-ST. (Which explains the trails big enough for the AT-ST's, they were Gorax paths). Suddenly, some of the AT-ST traps make sense.

Arr, it was a glorious battle, worth of many songs!TurboPhaser wrote:Yes, balls of fur. Can Klingons climb trees?
This all depends on how many Klingons invade.
They do have experience in hunting fluffy things, like the 'Great Tribble Hunts'
Then again, Tribbles dont offer much resistance.
