Should I Get A Custom Title?

Post by Admiral Valdemar »

Been wondering if I should given how many people are getting 'em nowadays, seems all the rage with you youngsters and hip dudes, so I thought I'd get in on it.

I was thinking of just using my SB.com one (The Culture Vulture) but I'm willing to hear any other options.

Yes get one quickly, and provide ammo for my go back to the old fucking title system since next to no one with over 2000 posts doesn’t have a custom title argument.

Way I see it, you've been around a while, you're not a dick, so there's no reason for you not to have one. Go for it!
And you may ask yourself, 'Where does that highway go to?'

You're very welcome. While we're at it, what title do you want?

I've always thought it'd be cool to have your title finish the sentence that your name started. For example:
Your name and title wrote:Admiral Valdemar
is totally awesome.
That'd be cool. It wouldn't work with that one board template that says "title" in front of your title, though. But fuck that template.
And you may ask yourself, 'Where does that highway go to?'

On second thought, nobody use that idea; it's mine! Mine, I tell you!

No, no, NO! My idea can't be used by anybody but me. There will be dire consequences to face for he and/or she who opposes me.

Oh, but I've got an idea for you that you can use, and would still be totally awesome. See if they can have your title be nothing. It would be unique; even n00bs and Village Idiots have titles! But for you, it would be blank. Like, your name stands alone, and any title would only try to obscure the greatness that is it.

How about:
Wise Old Man

I have no idea how old you are or anything, but I think that sounds cool.

You're older than me, is that enough?

Already had the former for as brief a time as possible and I'm an atheist so the latter is redundant. ;)

Go for it. It's not like you don't deserve one or anything.

How about "Village Non-Idiot". It's a neat spin on Village Idiot. Or at least I like to think so.

EDIT: Better idea, go take one of the lower ranks, like Padawan or Youngling, that'd be cool.

Meh, I was thinking of that, but I also thought of all those lucky sods with custom titles too and, well, peer pressure got me wanting one. :P

Brighton: Go on, get a custom title...
Blackpool: Yeh, what he said...

Pier pressure. Obviously.

How about 'Bull in a China Shop', in a sort of Lancaster-y way... :)

Note to self - SD.net, yet another place not highly evolved enough to appreciate my humour. In addition, have wiped out super advanced alien civilisation with the knock-knock-amos quito series.
