I found the pic on the web. It's a modification of a picture of the standard notice the Oregon Health Department puts up on restaurants it closes for health code violations. It seemed so perfect I had to use it. I could have erased the red border, but it wouldn't have looked as good.Howedar wrote:Why Oregon?

Yeah, probably. And I'd like to go back into the stoplight pic and restore some of the texture in the middle of the red lense (I had to paint out the word "stop"). But I'd just finished them, and then Photoshop crashed, and I said the hell with it for today.

2## and 4## freeways are short bypasses of I-## within cities. I-405, for example, bypasses part of Portland, OR on I-5.

I was going to ask what the exit number stood for. Then I slapped myself.
So why I-495? Because it was there? Or does that have some kind of other meaning?

The 495 is the Long Island Expressway out by me. It is a most evil road.RogueIce wrote:I was going to ask what the exit number stood for. Then I slapped myself.

I see. I went driving through New York, once. A long time ago. What's that funny name bridge around there again? TappinZee or something? I know there's one up there, but don't remember if it went into NY or not.Dalton wrote:The 495 is the Long Island Expressway out by me. It is a most evil road.

That supposedly stands for something. The sign I saw it on had the caps in the middle and stuff. Which is why I remembered it.Dalton wrote:Yeah, Tappanzee. We also have the Throg's Neck.
And Throg's Neck? That's an interesting one...

I have no idea how Throg's Neck came about either.
