I don't think I am special enough for a custom title, other than maybe "Official SD.net hardest name to spell/pronounce"... But actually, i might even be beaten on that too, I haven't checked.

I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in his stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Counciler or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate, who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who constantly says: "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I cannot agree with your methods of direct action"; who paternalistically believes he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by a mythical concept of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait for a "more convenient season."

Something about Libertarianism always bothered me. Then one day, I realized what it was:
Libertarian philosophy can be boiled down to the phrase, "Work Will Make You Free."

In Libertarianism, there is no Government, so the Bosses are free to exploit the Workers.
In Communism, there is no Government, so the Workers are free to exploit the Bosses.
So in Libertarianism, man exploits man, but in Communism, its the other way around!

It's from the anime series Neon Genesis Evangelion.

In the series, Eva pilots are refered to as "Nth Children" singularly (the English subtitles are in error refering to them as "Nth Child"). Therefore, Rei Ayanami is the First Children, Asuka Langley Soryu is the Second Children, Shinji Ikari is the Third Children, etc...

And while you might assume that I would have picked Second Children for my title given that Asuka is the subject for virtually all of my avatars, I thought that Third Children sounded better, so I chose that.

"Courage to ask for it" pretty much means that I got the title without being nessesarily notable as a member. I just waited until I got the required number of posts, then asked to have it after a poll (which I kind of ignored the results of. :P ). Over time I became the lovable and well known member you see before you now.

Padawan Learner.
And with my posting frequency I'll die of old age before I'm in custom title territory...
'Next time I let Superman take charge, just hit me. Real hard.'
'You're a princess from a society of immortal warriors. I'm a rich kid with issues. Lots of issues.'
'No. No dating for the Batman. It might cut into your brooding time.'
'Tactically we have multiple objectives. So we need to split into teams.'-'Dibs on the Amazon!'
'Hey, we both have a Martian's phone number on our speed dial. I think I deserve the benefit of the doubt.'

I've been here for the year and am just creeping up on Jedi Master. I don't think I'll be having a custom title any time soon unless someone dains to give me one.

Wow, after four days of voting it appears that a mighty 4.55% of the boards voting populace is affected by the splurge of new ranks.

 Who would have thought that Jedi Council is the minority! Damn custom title holders..... :P 8)
They say, "the tree of liberty must be watered with the blood of tyrants and patriots." I suppose it never occurred to them that they are the tyrants, not the patriots. Those weapons are not being used to fight some kind of tyranny; they are bringing them to an event where people are getting together to talk. -Mike Wong

But as far as board culture in general, I do think that young male overaggression is a contributing factor to the general atmosphere of hostility. It's not SOS and the Mess throwing hand grenades all over the forum- Red
