I PM'd pablo, HemlockGrey gave me the helm when he quit, I PM'd Seggybop, and 3rd Impact pledged to come and fight for me when I needed him, though I haven't PMed him yet- that's ok, because this is just a planning session, I am not controlling his navy as of yet (unlike the navies of the PSR and the NRE.)

I'm just saying I'd like to see those people post it for themselves. Just for the record and all.Thirdfain wrote:I PM'd pablo, HemlockGrey gave me the helm when he quit, I PM'd Seggybop, and 3rd Impact pledged to come and fight for me when I needed him, though I haven't PMed him yet- that's ok, because this is just a planning session, I am not controlling his navy as of yet (unlike the navies of the PSR and the NRE.)

{Asgard Space}
Minelayers trasversed space. They sewed their deadly cargo all across the system. The autmated mines numbered into the thousands. Each one a lethal killing device for any unwary ship.
________________________________________________________
Warships and a few auxiliaries arrived began forming up to go at a seconds notice . The Battle Fleet was being assembled. Most of it was ready now.

"Emperor, the first and second battlegroups are prepared to launch counter-offensive operations if the NBA attacks."
"Good, what about our defenses?"
"construction of additional battle platforms is completed, all major entry points into the KSE are being mined, the mines have been set to detonate if an NBA military vessel crosses our borders."
"Good. and the surface guns?"
"The surface weapons have been brought to full alert, each of our worlds and moons can take on an entire fleet if need be."
"Good."

We are sorry you feel this way, and we well that we should ask you if you are sure you wish to throw your empire, and life, away. While you and your Kokand allies spent the last few years making enemies, spouting war rhetoric and funding pirates, the Ordino Accords have been gathering allies.
You will face the combined might of no less then five of the major powers, and four minor ones including my own.
These are not odds against which you can win.
The combined forces of the United Floater Republics, along with the navies of the New Roman Empire, Durandel's Empire, the Pan-Slavic Republic, the Soirhyetz Congolomerate, the Monacoran Empire, the Outworlds Alliance, and the Krytos Star Empire, will fall upon you like wolves.
This is your opportunity- we once called you friend, and we would honor that today. Stand your military down, renounce control of the Kokand Empire, and stand as member of Galactic society, a member of the ITA, and share with us the bounty of free trade and general freedom.
This is YOUR last chance. We suggest you take it.
(I've PM'd Seggybop and 3rd Impact, they should post here soon, as should Pablo.)

{Empress Jessica Battlefleet - Durandalia System}
The Fleet jumped into the enemy system beyond the fringes of the system. They had made a careful transition and had emerged beyond the effective range of the sensors. Now they closed, coasting along solely on inertia.
Missle pods, thousands of them were being deployed. Each loaded with the deadly multi-stage missles that had help make the Asgard Navy so feared. All of them carefully setup and ready. Even the alarted and ready ships hot to engage the interlopers couldn't prevent the launch.
As one the missles were discharged. More than five hundred thousand of them flew off into the heart for the system. Each accellerated to 90% of the speed of light before the first stage drives shutdown. The coasted in heading for the Cluster, the planets, it's moons and the ships and sattelites.
* * *
The missles lit their drives off again at the programmed point. Point defense was heavy, thousands of them were picked off but plenty got through. The sattelites, ships and point defense took their toll, but it just wasn't enough.
Laser warheads struck the Cluster. Feirce X-ray slashed deep into the Floater habitat.
Seventy ton missles, their warheads replaced by anti-matter slammed into the planet. Mutli gigaton fireballs blossomed across the planet. Hundreds of thousands died.

[KSN Staging area, Covelan]
The emperor walked into the command center.
"Are the first and second battlegroups ready?"
"Yes sir, each battlegroup has 1 Argo class, 2 Victory class, 4 Glory class, 6 invincible class, 16 cruisers, 3 carriers, and twenty-five frigates"
"Good, send the first battlegroup to earth, and the second to the outskirts of Asgard territory."

The Floater commanders looked on in curiosity. the strategic displays showed it all- the Asgard were attacking the Shiva cluster, the small, insignificant half-formed cluster in the Durandalia system.
Meanwhile, in the Mohaim system, the allied fleets had formed up. Three destinct task forces- one of which consisted almost entirely of lighter escorts.
Seventy-eight modern "Shadowrun" Strike Cruisers, the remains of the once proud URN, sped off into Hyperspace, accompanied by the New Roman Empire's Astrolegios 1.

"Asgard jumped in at the edge of the system, damage only in rural areas, the city shields protected our major population ceneters"
A moment later....
(you didnt activate your interdiction fields)
*Jumppoints opened, precision targeted on Asgard ships, the energy wash, damaging or destroying a signifficant portion of the Asgard attack group.Laser weapons opened fire on the Asgard vessels, beams of coherent light bipassing the Asgard defenses, the shields absorbing much of the damage, but to the confused, and disoriented Asgard fleet, shielding was not enough. Lasers overwhelmed the shields, and and when the shields went down, the DE lasers, mounted but months ago on the Sinfuls, ripped gaping holes in the hulls of the Asgard fleet*

OOC: My computer is going through the transition to WinXP pro and my posting will be sporadic today(That and my friend is having her 17th Birthday party today). So try not to call horrible casualties or follow up attacks until I respond to the first OK...Thanks Stormbringer.

"Emperor, the Asgard have struck the Durandel system."
"Damn, re-direct both battlegroups to Durandalia."
"Yes sir."
Both KSN Battlegroups changed their hyperspace vectors, and sped off to assist the besiged Fel'theh homeworld.

[Durandalia System]
The First and second KSN battlegroups emerged from hyperspace behing the Asgard assault force. The ships came in with shields up and weapons hot. They opened fire on the Asgard ships, lasers impacting the "walls" and other weapons launching twards any non shielded point. The ships doubled up on targets for maximum damage potental.

Swarms of fighters emerged from the hangars on the Fel' Theth homeworld, and the carriers around the system...tens of thousands of Godless Class Fighters swarmed over the besiged world, to make sure that no more such missiles got through. The interdiction fields went on at full thrength, and power was routed from across the planet, Fussion reactors, and M/AM reactors comming on line, and pouring their energy into the city shields..

{Empress Jessica Battlefleet - Durandalia System}
Despite the attack by the defenders, raging after the missles carved up the Floater Cluster and turned a sizable fraction of Durdanlia and its moons to motlen ruins, the Battle Fleet was largely intact. Several of the escorts had taken massive damage but the wedges and 'walls had protected them. Only two were cripples, a pair of Uriel class cruisers.
As one the fleet jumped out of the system, clearing it as the enemies fighter were about to reach the battle.
In their wake much of Durndalia burned.
