Dear God, they've got it so messed up it hurts me. Hitler's mother a Jew? WTF?! Where the hell do they get that shit from?

I know all about Jewish culture, and I know about their features (My boyfriend and his family is Jewish... my boyfriend just converted about a month or so ago to Christianity, I'm so proud !)

His mother, infact, was Jewish. I know this for a fact, and I have been to every possible website on the holocaust, and, as it turns out, my boyfriend is related to Hitler.

That's just really sad...stupid kids

Hitler's grandfather may possibly have been Jewish. The thing is there is no strong evidence to support it.

I have no idea where they could have possibly gotten that from (I certainly have not heard anything remotely like that), but I believe Hitler's father was half-Jewish.

I can claim relation to Rasputin, by virtue of my great-grandfather being his nephew (actually, I'm not completely certain of the exact relation, but given that they both came from the same small and isolated village, inbreeding makes some kind of relation a certainty).

I've heard lots of things like that, but I believe they're pretty much all untrue. I read Ian Kershaw's book (Hitler: 1889-1936 Hubris) on Hitler quite awhile ago, but I'm pretty sure he pretty much laid the theories on whether Hitler had any Jewish ancestry to rest.

*sigh* and of course, we have the usual bigoted belief that homosexuality is a sin... that combined with a staggering amount of crap about it as well, occassionally, you have to feel sorry for Satan, some of these people say everything is his fault. In one thread they can be saying that God gave us free will so we could make wrong decisions and understand the reasons behind them etc, and in another they can say that we do bad things because Satan has possessed our souls...

One of them even states that Homosexuality is a sin, because it depresses the people who do it and hurts their families. Now, I'm not gay, but time and time again, my parents have told me that if I was, then nothing would change, and as long as I was happy, then they would be proud of me.

And last time I checked, the board's gay community didnt appear to be going round threatening suicide. Which is more than can be said for some of the people on that board...

Arghh... I'm not sure how much more of that board I can take, it's like a car crash with Eddie Izzard doing stand up next to it. Another post on evolution, the person quotes an article from new scientist, clearly above his reading and comprehension as he then goes on to say that atoms should fall apart because they have a positive and negative atom in them, and these should repel.

This, in a thread where he's quoting on Potassium Argon dating with regard to teprochronology and dating igneous rock, which requires a basic understanding of particle physics, which he clearly lacks.

Arghhh... again. Part of me wants to go over there and point out that he's posting with understanding, but the rest of me says 'no, don't go there, leave them to their stupidity..."

EDIT: mind you, if someones going that way, that thread is under Do something forum, marked as evolution. Please, somebody ask him to explain it or admit that he doesnt know what he's talking about... and if someone could also give him the basics on the intermolecular forces, then please do it, I dont think I could explain it very well.
