I've been using Opera since v3. The biggest reason I started using it was because of the one-click image disable, which was an enormous plus when I was on my modem. Tabbed browsing was just a side-benefit (of course, nowadays I browse with images enabled and I've got a dozen windows open at once).
It's been getting better with every version. I'd love for mouse gestures to be completely customizable, though (or at least to change sensitivity; it's always doing one gesture when I'm trying to do something else).

I think I'll even pay for it someday.

Netscape used to have the 'image enable/disable' button but I think that's long gone.
