are they an energy source?
do they keep him company?

I've always found it amusing that the original sin was gaining knowledge of good and evil.

I like to bring it up when I hear the "You can't have morals without God" spiel, when the whole reason were supposedly cast from his grace is that we got the knowledge for ourselves

I dunno about the Morpheus thing though, I can't really picture Satan as a big bald dude with six nipples....

And if I believed in Satan or God, from everything I've ready my theory would be that he simply gives the "damned" freedom, rather than assuming their paradise is eternal service to Him.

Maybe he makes them do stuff for his amusement. Like souls of dead singers will sing, souls of dead hookers will... do that, etc.
