Most you've ever eaten

Post by Joe »

I'm bored. What is the most food you've ever eaten in one meal/one period of time?

The most I've ever eaten was about a year ago at Shula's in Washington D.C., one of the best steak restaurants in the country. I started off with at least a half a basket of bread and about two glasses of sweet tea. I then went on to eat a fairly well-sized Caesar Salad, every last bit of it. For the main course, I had a 32 ounce Ribeye, cooked rare, and ate every last bit of it. I also chugged down about two more glasses of sweet tea. For dessert, I forced a tasty piece of Key Lime Pie down my throat.

I was still full when I went out for Chinese the next night.

I'm studying for the CPA exam. Have a nice summer, and if you're down just sit back and realize that Joe is off somewhere, doing much worse than you are.

I ate an entire large Pizza with sausage and extra cheese, though it took something like 90 minutes so I don’t think it was all ever in my stomach at the same time. It was a friend's birthday party and there was a somewhat ludicrous surplus of food.

"Right now we can tell you a report was filed by the family of a 12 year old boy yesterday afternoon alleging Mr. Michael Jackson of criminal activity. A search warrant has been filed and that search is currently taking place. Mr. Jackson has not been charged with any crime. We cannot specifically address the content of the police report as it is confidential information at the present time, however, we can confirm that Mr. Jackson forced the boy to listen to the Howard Stern show and watch the movie Private Parts over and over again."

I've eaten large pizzas by myself, several times.

I ate two dozen oysters on the half shell, a large bowl of clam chowder, a dozen steamed clams, two soft shelled crab sandwiches, and another half dozen oysters in one sitting at a restaurant in Florida, Crabby Bill's if anyone knows it.

One of my many RL nicknames is "The Grand Boo-ffet", due to my proclivity for eating 7-8 plates at Chinese buffets. Only if the food is really good, though. Found a really good one with Dim-Sum, Sushi, and Allah be praised, Roast Duck!

When I was visiting the mountains, in some town there was this place where a huge dish would cost something like $2. It had everything, and I mean EVERYTHING: steak, chicken, fried egg, french fries, fried banana, boiled potato, fried fish, spaguetti, rice, salad... can't remember what else, but there were 5 or 6 more things there. And they were normal-sized servings of each thing, the plate was like one of those where you put the turkey in Xmas.

Anyway, my dad and I were the only ones to order that, and everyone thought we wouldn't finish it. Yet I did. My father did not, I think he only ate 1/3 of his own... so I ended up eating his too :)

EDIT: others ordered more delicate stuff like fried guinea pig. I normally don't find it very filling tho.

Lets see....one evening I ate half a bag of taquitos (bag holds 60 total). Another time I ate a 50oz ribeye (which was VERY tender, and the majority of the fat was tripped off) which came with a baked potato half the size of a standard football and a tall glass of lemonade to drink. :)

Both times, I paid for it dearly. :D

I'm a judge every year at a local BBQ contest, and they warn us that if we eat all of everything we sample, we will have consumed a minimum of 2 pounds of meat. I learned the hard way that they're not kidding. Now I just nibble on the chicken, brisket, and sausage, saving ample room for the RIBS!!
