I see...make assumptions without reading.
So you're saying it's okay for one side to use uber upper limits, but the other isn't or shouldn't able to?

You've obviously never seen Chuckg.Or maybe it was like when fucking Captain America does the same sort of thing and nobody tries to make it out to be an ultra-impressive megaton feat.
His version of Captain America is a crippled salamander.
Anyways. Dude. Vader could have ripped apart Lukes X-Wing during their assult on the Death star bolt by bolt if he wanted to with his casual 15 tons worth of TK. Or he could have throw the stupid X-wing into deep space with his casual 15 ton's worth of TK, and probably like a 1000 tons if he concentrated remotely hard.
He didn't need no stinking blaster guns.

So. Technically. Vader stopped Han Solo's tactical nuke with a jesture?

LUKE: But how am I to know the good side from the bad?
YODA: You will know. When you are calm, at peace. Passive. A Jedi uses
the Force for knowledge and defense, never for attack.
LUKE: Unless the Jedi is fighting Spider-Man, right?
YODA: Oh hell yeah. Then we'd tear his fucking brain out. After all, you did choke those two guards in the next movie.
Pop quiz: Which two quotes weren't actually in the movie?

Dude. Jedi can take nukes with their palm.
Unless you want to argue that Spider-Man kicks with the force of a nuclear explosion, he can't even hurt Yoda to start with.

Luke in DE stop a multi KT blast.

Deas, don't be a troll. Some people here have over estimated opinions of jedi yet mentioning there demonstrated powers has never been called overestimation in my book.
The Vader thing, would you kill him if you knew the emperor would kill you and you knew it was your son and you still had feelings for him. And vader seems inhibited by the fact that he is little more than a walking corpse and must use some of his power to simply ease his own living to a comforable level of hell.
Jedi have very good tk for short bursts, are decently telepathic and have very good pre-cog. They aren't gods but they have powers that make them very good fighters. Oh and the out of character thing is ridiculous. We always assume a fight to the death, even if it was smurfs versus barney.

Minor Nitpick here.Darth Wong wrote: Bullshit. You can't see the entire back end of the subway car in that picture. Moreover, the very limited metallic deformation of the subway car's body indicates that he can't possibly be supporting its entire weight, since he would have negative leverage and would have to apply more than enough force to shred that metal window frame..
You may not be able to see the entire back end of the subway, but you can see enough of it, to see that the end you cannot see is definitely off the ground.
And the lack of indentions is a classic comic mistake. Pretty much any hero who has lifted a massive weight(like Superman with an aircraft carrier, or more recently, the tanker full of food he carries in Peace on Earth) has had this visual mistake.

Sorry this is off topic but it has to be said.
Ding Dong the witch is dead.
Oh, and while that is a valid point Samas, it still doesn't stop the myriad of powers that a jedi can use against spidey.

And since 80% of that edge of the car is obscured, you are absolutely sure that none of the 80% is resting on anything?SAMAS wrote:Minor Nitpick here.Darth Wong wrote:Bullshit. That's not a mistake; Superman must use some kind of TK. They've discussed this in Marvel Comics with respect to a Superman-like Shi'ar warrior in the past (Reed Richards figured it out, IIRC).And the lack of indentions is a classic comic mistake. Gladiator
And also John Byrne theorized this very topic when writing Man of Steel because Superman is far too small of a surface area to perform any of the true Superfeat of strength he's done.

Out of curiosity you twit, what is he going to apply that force against? You need to be braced yourself or else the force you are applying will have no effect, and the fighters were movind too damn fast to brace against the DS.David Deas wrote: Anyways. Dude. But what you can't see is whether something is beneath that edge: rubble, debris, an object of some sort, etc. Must I spell out these kinds of things?SAMAS wrote:You can see the angles for yourself.
By the way, read the dialogue. He's exerting his full strength in that scene, so even if you're right, it merely implies that as he bulked up from his early years to the present time, he's doubled his strength (not inconceivable given how scrawny he was in his youth). It still wouldn't make his throat strong enough to withstand multi-ton compressive forces.

Well let me spell this one out:Darth Wong wrote:But what you can't see is whether something is beneath that edge: rubble, debris, an object of some sort, etc. Must I spell out these kinds of things?SAMAS wrote:You can see the angles for yourself.
N-O P-R-O-O-F T-H-A-T A-N-Y-T-H-I-N-G-'S T-H-E-R-E-.
Nothing in that picture even suggests That anything else could be conveniently offscreen to help with the load. Not to mention that action is consistent with similar feats Spider-Man has pulled off.
By the way, read the dialogue. He's exerting his full strength in that scene, so even if you're right, it merely implies that as he bulked up from his early years to the present time, he's doubled his strength (not inconceivable given how scrawny he was in his youth).
No, he's not saying it's his full strength. He's saying that he's not holding back.
No, the fact that his neck and throat hadn't snapped in half from the multi-ton punches he was shown taking in previous pics shown here do that. Even if he wasn't impervious to it, he could definitely hold out long enough to throw some webbing at the Jedi, thus breaking his concentration. It still wouldn't make his throat strong enough to withstand multi-ton compressive forces.
And did we ever address the apparent inablitiy of any Sith to force-choke a moving target, or any jedi short of half-dark Luke force-choking period?

Re: Scarlet-Spider vs Jedi
Maybe i did't make myself clear enough in my OP. as of now the JEDI is prohibited from using offensive TK. Although i dont think a jedi would be able to concentrate on a blue-and-red Hyperagile figure. As of now it is IRRELEVANT.I wrote:Ben Reilly (in costume) vs A jedi to the death!!
I used Ben Reilly rather than Peter Parker solely to have the stingers and impact webbing. And a jedi to aviod force chokes. The battle takes place in New York.
Was what do u think is spider-sense pre-cog better than force pre-cog? Lightsabers more use full than webbing?
I'm just pissed the OP is continueing with his clonewanking.
Lonestar the fact ben is a clone has no relevance to this debate i only used him to give the added advantages of impacet webbing and stingers.
