The energy invovled makes it likily TL are actually a very advance Graser.. Graser can release 1000GJ per gram of matter excited and produces an invisibe beam of gamma rays..

It very likely that the when the energy it released it is shape into light bullets to increase range ( the spinning ?) that would make it self regenerating, and the waveform can contain a degenerate cycle that cause to explode ( the Flak effect)...
