IIRC, he was the one who called me the "mathematical con-man" and argued that mathematical calculations shouldn't be allowed (obviously because he didn't know how to perform them).

Meh. I found it on Daltonator.net:

NRWD

July 19, 2000: Paul Jacques H.Jr relaunches his bid to take control of ASVS,
which ultimately proves unsuccessful as he is a raving lunatic.
The NRWD remains an object of derision and mockery.
Pile up the sandbags and prepare the pepto-bismol, it's....the NRWD.
MiSTing

From: he791859@merlin.uqam.ca (PAUL JACQUES H.JR)
Subject: This FAQ is for new people.
Newsgroups: alt.startrek.vs.starwars
Date: Wed, 19 Jul 2000 12:58:19 GMT

* WELCOME *

**** THE No Restrictions War Document ****

*** N R W D ***

*** NRWD ***

This is a second FAQ the NRWD.

When you use this FAQ (NRWD) for debates, you must write, in the
beginning of the title of your thread:*NRWD*. Why? By respect for
the people who are using the original FAQ. This will avoid mix ups.

Examples:

*NRWD* Borgs do have KE shields Elam Dukat
*NRWD* Trans Hyper drive Wisemamal
*NRWD* Super S. Troupers would destroy the Borg. Vapspike
*NRWD* A fleet of Sun Crushers against 8472s. Shadow

Why a second set of FAQ (NRWD)? Because, some people are discontent
with the original FAQ. They want a different sort of debate.
Others have been put aside by flamers and want to debate freely.

Is this FAQ (NRWD) better than the original? Yes, it is real war.

Are these two FAQs compatible? No, this one is not bias.

Does this mean, that this NG use two FAQs and you can choose the
debate platform? Yes

If somebody who uses the original FAQ, answers my thread and says that Q
is not permitted, what do I say?
You say, this is permitted here, I use the NRWD and not the
original FAQ.

Do I have the right to use this FAQ (NRWD)? Yes, the internet if for
all.

What is permitted with this FAQ (NRWD)?

*** common sense it the ultimate rule ***

-Q is permitted.
-Alliances are permitted.
-Time travel is permitted.
-Seen technologies are permitted.
-Creating new tech with old tech.
-Changing the characters behavior are permitted. (With justification)
-Logical extrapolations are permitted.
-The fact that a side didn't use a tactic in a film or episode does
not negate a tactic that you bring here.
-Any new tactic or technology seen once is considered available to be
use again. Common sense, since war is not static.

A game is beeing created at this time. The moment it is ready it will
be presented.

What sources can we take?

a) Quotes from film and episodes.

b) Visual from film and episodes.

When there is a contradiction between a and b. you take the one that is
more favorable for your argument.

c) Books and technical manuals.

When there is a contradiction between c and (a,b) then (a,b) overrides c.

Are Mike Wong calcs valid here? As long it is taken as an opinion and
not fact. Even though there are presented in a scientific manner. The
reality is, when you dig a bit, they are opinions based on the
interpretation of a selected group of source.

Good debate! And don't worry about flames from jealous people here.
They are only words from feeble minds. Don't bother to reply to them.
To help you avoid potential flamers. Here is a list:

Rob
Xtreme.
Jonathan Boyd.
Chuck
Rush
Dalton.

Other names will be added as time goes by.

Have fun! :)

[The list he has here consists of people who have beaten his sorry ass into the ground. --Ed.]

If you want to pin that argument on someone, then it would have to be me. I've used it far more than Kynes ever did.
Exactly what is wrong with that exactly? I don't use it to calculate firepower, but to calculate firepower myself, but what is the issue there? The DS is obviosuly representative of SW technology. What is wrong with using it as a base mark for other tech since so much has been established by it?

Considering that varying EU sources have substantiated the validity of the Dodonna calcs (IE taking the "half the firepower of the Imperial starfleet" literally, rather than the figurative argument some critics claim), its perfectly valid. Others dont like it for much the same reasons they don't like the ICS.

I thought he wrote two. "Second Contact" and some Voyager-based turd. Both MiSTed I believe. Perhaps you repressed the memory of one of them? :)

Just checked daltonator.net. "Second Contact" (which you yourself MiSTed) and "Janeway's Surprise" were the names of the atrocities.

I was an ASVS semi-reg at the time, under the name LordShaithis. When Paul pulled that NRWD shit, I invented my own alternate ruleset, the LSFAQ. I can't seem to find it on Google, but I think all I did was make anything I said automatically become canon. I even put it to use! Check this out:

In keeping with the LSFAQ, here is a CANON fanfic entitled "Paul
Jacques Eats Donkey Shit". Enjoy.

"This sure is some good donkey shit, Captain Janeway!" Paul Jacques
said as he sat across the dinner table from the stinking crone he
worshipped.

"Why yes, it certainly is!" She replied. "Perhaps later you will come
to my cabin so me and that one guy... um... the Indian... can take
turns drilling you in the ass!"

"That would certainly be fun." Paul Jacques exclaimed happily. "Then I
can orally please your withered genitals!"

Suddenly a single TIE fighter appeared on Voyager's viewscreen.

"What the fuck is that?" yelled the ugly Klingon bitch.

"Shields up!" called the captain, wiping remnants of her meal off her
face as she entered the bridge.

The TIE fighter fired a single bolt from it's guns. The bolt struck
Voyager, blowing it to shit instantly. An ionized tachyonic gravitonic
polarized temporal distortion proton redundancy beam wave emanated from
the detonation, wiping out all life and matter in the entire ST galaxy
with one fell swoop.

Unharmed, the TIE fighter flew away.

THE END

There, according to the lawful LSFAQ it is now canon that SW beats ST
and that Paul is a dookie eater. Have a nice day.

I actually sent both but only Second Contact was allowed in :)

Is anyone going to tell me that they have been converted because of how persuasive these arguments are? So then, hands up, all not-already-STrekkies who feel that this kind of argument actually means anything in any way. Any takers? Converts? Anyone at all?

I didn't think so. I will ask you to stop insulting us with your blatant ad homeinistic attacks. You see, this is a typical trekkie tactic. Insult the bearer of informtion instead of the information itself. We all know that you are *not8 willing to debate civilly now go away.

I can't tell for sure just who the fuck "Jimothy Tones" (oh such a cute, respectable name) is talking about, but I'm pretty sure it's off-topic, and should have had it's own thread. Or it's own evidence, but that's another story.

JT's is an old ASVSer who's been around since 1999. He probably popped up out of indignation that he wasn't mentioned as one of the most "well known".

So you're more of a packaging over product person, eh?

Anyway, I would think you'd have a little more respect for someone who's been head to head with the Troll King, Guardian2000, Wes Hutchings, and numerous other trolls. If you've never heard of him before this (for shame!) look him up on Google.

The quality of the board (particularly the SWvsST forum) will be better now that he has finally registered here. His posts are always a good read.

I think that JT should most definetly qualify as one of the worst of the SW trolls personally. I mean, it seems like his entire purpose is to piss people off. He's rather mindless, and it's quite impossible to reason with him.
