Ok I need to know...who the FUCK was going to buy that defense abd frankly the defense attorney could have come up with something alot better than that. WHy dream up something so fucking absurd when you can just say he had a psychotic break. At least pleading a plain old vanilla insanity defense has a better chance than saying, "My client received a phone via Fed Ex packagae and someone we have tentaively identified as Morpheus told my client that his parents were agents of a construct we believe to be called the Matrix and thus my client in a highly agitated state discharged a weapon that he believed was a simultion into his parents whom he thought were agents of this Matrix."
Wherever you go, there you are.

I'd prefer putting him on the set of the Neb, put him in one of the chairs, and "load" him into the matrix.kojikun wrote:How about we unplug this kid from our matrix with a nine mill? ugh, idiot.
And by "load" I mean "take that spike and super glue it in place, drill a hole through the chair and ram that shit straight through his cerebellum"

It even made somethingawful.....
"The rifle itself has no moral stature, since it has no will of its own. Naturally, it may be used by evil men for evil purposes, but there are more good men than evil, and while the latter cannot be persuaded to the path of righteousness by propaganda, they can certainly be corrected by good men with rifles."
Wow, thats easily the second lamest excuse I've ever heard.
Howedar is no longer here. Need to talk to him? Talk to Pick.

Well that was stupid. If he thought his parents were agents wouldn't it have occurred to him that they'd dodge the bullets?

What a fucking load of shit.
Can they prove this kid has even seen the Matrix? Geez.....
Unfortunately, this will always happen. Because there a people out there that can be set off by anything.
For example, I am sure out in the world, there is someone that will one day look at a hamster eating at just the right time, and believe he is killing his parents because the Hamster made him a bet to do it.
But this kid.....
Too bad there wasn't a way to prevent this kinda of thing.
Oh wait, there is.
It's called responsible parenting. This kid should obviously have never been allowed to go to movies like that, or watch TV like that.

You advocate preventing people from seeing things like the Matrix? That's worthless. It's cutting the problem too far along the line. The person should be taught not to be an idiot, not kept from watching things after they've become one.Solauren wrote:It's called responsible parenting.
