I believe so, apparently much darker and nastier.

What was the deal with the Maxx? Wasn't there some secret to his origins or something, I just vaguely remember the cartoon and liking it but I also seem to remeber that in a Spawnish sort of way he had a dark secret.

X-Men Evolution. It mostly does really well at keeping the spirit of the comics without trying to follow all of the massive and sometimes insane history.

While I like X-Men Evolution I hate the trend with cartoons lately. It seems like every character you can think of to be in a cartoon is being turned into a teenager / child. I suppose its supposed to 'identify with the younger crowd', but to me its just annoying

I feel the same way. There was loony toons, then they did tiny toons... ok that was funny. Now they have something like toddler toons? Ok guys you've run it into the ground what next Fetus toons.

*blink* You didn't know that? OMG, the new cartoon is so much closer to the original Eastman & Laird idea.

As for me... Batman (WB) would probably be my favorite.

Tiny Toons was clearly inferior to animaniacs...my god animaniacs was one of the funniest cartoons in existence.

Spawn cartoon was excellent, as was the spiderman and batman cartoons...batman of the future isnt that bad either. xmen evolution is well drawn, much better drawn than the old series too, although i liked that too.

The best cartoon of recent times though has got to be the jackie chan cartoon though, it's got long story arcs, continuity and everything! b&b could learn alot from the people who wrote Jackie Chan Adventures.

Can't stand the show. I prefer the original X-Men cartoon from the early '90s.
