My Triumphant Return!

Post by Darth Garden Gnome »

Ahoy ye olde members of SD.Net, everyone's favorite Gnome, TGODer, good friend, and all around short dude hath returned from his vacation in Florida. And there was much rejoicing! Huzzah I say! So what did I do while I was away? Lemme give ya'll a short summary, and then we can get back to doing whatever the hell everyone's doing right now (I'm kinda comfused at all the new stuff that was added, including a Mini-MODs forum...)

PS. I'll address SEGNOR members in our forum a bit later, I've got some catching up to do.
  • It rained for the first three days. Apparently some tropical storm working itself out from further south caught up with us when we were at our first hotel--and I'll be damned if I know where that is. Not that rain is alwys bad. Feels kind of refreshing to swim in the rain sometimes.
  • The ocean sucks. A.) Because I can't swim worth a crap, and that thing is deep; B.) Salt water tastes horrible and gets all crystilized over your body and stuff, especially in the hair; C.) Dead stuff washes up on the shore and you gotta navigate your way through it--UGH!
  • Pools are better than the ocean, as it happens. First off chlorene is more...'digestable'...than salt water. Doesn't hurt your eyes as much either. And then of course there's all the pretty girls in their bikini's; you can get an up-close view of 'em at the pool. You try that in the ocean and you'll just look weird.
  • EPCOT SUCKS!!! Why the hell would anyone want to go there is beyond me. The place is one giant fucking advertisement for all of Disney's different sponsors. I waited a goddamn half hour to go on that retarded "Dream Chasers" bullshit only to find that it was a ten minute long GM commercial! SCREW YOU EPCOT!
  • OTOH, Universal and IoA kick ass. Except for those roller coasters. They couldn't even get me to try to go on The Hulk. And when I did for Dueling Dragons, I had a panic attack and almost passed out in line. Other than that, it was pretty much smooth sailing. Dr. Doom's Fearfall should've scared the shit on me based on past experiences but I found it completely awesome and rode it three times (probably would've rode it more, but the wait was 30min. and the ride is 3 seconds long).
Now then, how goes it here? What happened to Ted? And what of everyone's favorite Trektard Darkstar and the now infamous I68 quote? Anymore cracks on the boards? Anything else new I should know about? C'mon people, gimme the skinny on whats been happening!

And of course, it feels good to be back. :D

Three cheers for DGG!

"DINK DINK!"

"DINK DINK!"

"DINK DINK!"

Glad to hear you survived Florida. EPCOT wan't that bad when I used to go there. The Imaginations thing was fun. And the food is the best!

Universal and IoA kick overall ass though.

As to the new forum you refrenced, you can either PM me about that or just go look for yourself. Though it's kinda sorta private, so not everyone knows about it. :)

Listen not to him. He is a lowly Seaman, after all.

And by the way, check out my new title, Oh Fearless Leader. I know not who bestowed it upon me, or even when it was given, but I like it anyway. :D

Hey guys, save it for the Mailbox. Right now I'd like to the answer to all this:

Who the hell are you?
...
Ted got banned. The board has had no incursions that I am aware of.

Welcome back.
...
Whoops, probably said that in the wrong order.

Ted was permbanned. Which in turn led to a whole thing involving a VI and BoredShirtless...but I'm not going to dredge it up, check the HOS for details.

DarkStar and I68: No idea really. Haven't followed it.

Cracks: If there were, I missed them. :)

Anything Else: We got us a MiniMod Forum. There was the Justice League, but that got axed in favor of the CAM it seems. I got my cool title. The HAB has gotten into Gnome bashing into what is now the fifth Everyone vs Gnomes TGOD. I have managed to work my way into some people's Hit Lists as well, following your example. :)

That's all I can think of off the top of my head. :D

The ocean is the best thing ever! Of course I am a very strong swimmer who lives for open ocean swims. The salt is annoying, but that's what beach towels are for. If you dry yourself off as soon as you step out of the water you get a lot less salt solidifying on your body when the water evaporates. Dead stuff? Whoa! what beach were you swimming on? I never saw much dead stuff at all when I went swimming there for a training camp & competition, but then again that was a few years ago.

Pools? I've seen more pools than I ever care to see. I find them far too small and restrictive, and for the salt/chlorine thing, wear friggin' goggles! Yes you'll look like a dork but at least your eyes won't burn!

Maybe he has crap goggles that use foam to block the water. Regardless, the goggles won't hurt his image any, considering his impressive height. :P

Still think the salt ain't worth the trouble, towels or no. Anyways I just walk up and down the beach (for the life of me I can't remember where I stayed--it was two weeks ago after all), but there were dead fish brought in by the high tide laying amongst the sea weed, waiting to strike...

Small ah yes, that's exactly what I like. You throw in more than 7-8 feet of water and I'm a goner. The deep end can bite me! And no madam--I don't do goggles. I don't go swimming to wear clumsy, bulky, goofy-looking head gear.

Hey DGG, you're back! Now I can bombard you with all kinds of stuff I've been thinking of while you were gone!:twisted::twisted:

FL was fun, eh? You should have gone on the Hulk at IoA, but considering your reaction to DD, maybe not. Uhh, just out of curiosity, where did you stay while down here? I'm supposed to find some good hotels in the area, for some reason or other.

Uh, more stuff in the Mailbox, once I get around to it...
