Zoloft

Post by Steven Snyder »

It's 2:05am...

This week has been a bad one, lots of stress and hardwork building up. Today it boiled over, the work stopped because of a miscommunication between two departments who couldn't get it together.

Seeing that I was stressed and showing signs of depression my wife decided to do me a favor and give me a Zoloft of hers, it would make me sleep she said. My wife is now soundly sleeping, and has been since about 8:30.

I awoke at 11:30.

I am hungry.
I am too sick to eat.
I am hot.
I don't care.
I can hear the slightest noises in the house.
I am exhausted.
I am wide awake.

For a few seconds I feel like I am going to fall asleep, then I am rudely thrust back into a reality where I feel like I just drank 12 cups of coffee.

Things slow down, things speed up.

It is now 2:12am, and I think I preferred being depressed. It is going to be a long night.

I suggest looking at some internet porn. It should help you kill some time. Of course, in my case it would only kill about 5 seconds...

Defiantly. Though I'm against it period, it made me far worse and destroyed what had been a normal sleeping pattern.

2:22am

Conspiracy Theories are something to ponder...

The three immediate towns around me had official city vehicles stolen last weekend. This sort of thing never happens around here, the worst thing that happens is some redneck kills himself while playing quickdraw with a revolver.

Now my own employer had a similar incident that weekend.

The vehicle was a 1992 Ford Truck, painted white, with a pair of old ladders in the back. The criminals broke through a chain link fence to get in the back and stole it, the truck itself is nearly worthless, but it is a city vehicle and I believe it is marked as such.

Now why in the hell would someone want to steal that thing? Or the rest of those trucks? They all have nice big logos on the side that state quite clearly they are official vehicles and stand out quite nicely on the road. There were many other vehicles down the street that looked a lot more appealing and were actually made in this decade, and were also easier to get at.

Aren't we under some 4th of July terrorist alert...

It is 2:27am, I am moving fast, time is gong slow.

Yeah, SSRI's are a tricky thing to prescribe or use. For most SSRIs.. about 15% of the general population taking any which one will have an adverse effect towards that particular compound causing them to stop taking it. Side-effects generally are nausea, dizziness, GI problems, and sexual dysfunction and sometimes cardiovascular problems as well.

Go see a doctor for a proper prescription and dosage and tell him about your experience with zoloft. There's other ones out there to try for your depression.

Tom Clancy and Halo spoiled me...

I am dying for a sequal for either Ghost Recon or Halo, though I know Halo 2 is coming out...Ghost Recon needs one.

One other thing I meant to add, Zoloft and other drugs of its type takes several days of regular use to actually begin effecting you so just taking one won't actually do anything.

Be careful and don't do that again. Everyone has their really bad days once in a while. Taking prescription medication not intended for you (especially something like Zoloft) can possibly get you nominated for the Darwin awards.

Most likely, if you were talking about getting well. It's much easier to fuck yourself up than to heal. It takes one time to kill you, a lifetime to heal.

If that is true, why exactly am I awake at 2:44am, sweating all over the keyboard?

Wait a minute, do you mean that it takes regular usage to affect my mood? That makes sense...I can't be imagining this...

Yes, the medication doesn’t do anything unless taken on a regular basis.

Yes, the medication doesn’t do anything unless taken on a regular basis.
First off, it could be a reaction to the drug, which could be problematic. Second, it could also be pre-existing stress that's doing it's work. Third, NEVER take anti-depressants and such without a prescription.
