OK do you have a list of animals you consider vermin.Durran Korr wrote:Fox are vermin, and there is nothing wrong with disposing of vermin. I'm still extremely uncomfortable with the needless cruelty, though.

Even in rural areas, where foxes have traditionally been considered a pest, farmers are starting to realize that the odd chicken or two is a small price to pay for the service the foxes do in keeping down the rodent population. In fact, foxes probably are known for stealing chickens simply because chickens are the right size, usually kept outside, and can't fly away. Even near farms, rodent will probably be at least two thirds of a fox's regular diet.Durran Korr wrote:Nope, but they're annoying and destructive to the property of humans (chickens). Like i said, it's the lazy ass farmers fault for not buying sufficient defense for the chickens. Plus there's the whole rodent killing thing which saves loads of money.Durran Korr wrote:Nope, but they're annoying and destructive to the property of humans (chickens). They fit the description.
Hunting with dogs and horses is still difficult--the fox is a very, very tough prey. It's hard enough to go on a hunt where you ride horses to the general vicinity of the hunt and then hunt on your feet, because it's combining trail-riding and hunting. Those guys combine racing and hunting. Don't forget, also, that a gun might be used to dispatch the fox if the dogs don't kill it quickly (or at least in some cases--not sure if this is permissible in the modern UK).innerbrat wrote:MPs back bill banning fox hunting
Of course, it still has to go through the Lords, and guess what your average Lord does for fun?
I know there are a lot of hunters on this board, but my question is - what do you guys think of hunting with dogs - you know the score:- block up all the fox's dens then chase it down with a pack of dogs who then rip it apart. Do those of you who hunt with guns approve of this practice as well?
