The father of the oldest teen called into a cable news station this morning and said that his son had never had any trouble with the law, got good grades, etc. but apparently the kid's mother died nine years ago this month, and his brothers might have had some problems with other kids at school. (missed the last part of the interview so I don't know all the details)

While I'm all for talking to your kids, at that age their peers have more to do with influencing their decisions than their parents. Such is the sad life of teenagers.
