#1 is true beyond all doubt
#2 is iffy, because Bush isn't nearly as vocal in his beliefs
"Right now we can tell you a report was filed by the family of a 12 year old boy yesterday afternoon alleging Mr. Michael Jackson of criminal activity. A search warrant has been filed and that search is currently taking place. Mr. Jackson has not been charged with any crime. We cannot specifically address the content of the police report as it is confidential information at the present time, however, we can confirm that Mr. Jackson forced the boy to listen to the Howard Stern show and watch the movie Private Parts over and over again."

Bush comes off to me as one of those near-fundamentalists who believes with all his heart that religion is a force for good, but that it's not going to do anyone any good if you ram it down their throats (his own conversion experience was a very personal one, and he probably believes that everybody who comes to God has to come the same way he did). Falwell, OTOH, is convinced that a conversion at swordpoint is just as good as any other conversion, and firmly believes it's the duty of the government to enforce Christian religious law. So really, I think 2 is more accurate than 1--combine Bush's secular power with Falwell's theocratic beliefs, and you get the Allaytolah (yeah, I butchered the spelling, sue me).

Watch his speeches sometime. You'll never see one end without some sort of reference to God or scripture.

I still fail to see the problem with that.

I think it is saying Hillary wouldn't have amounted to shit without ol' Billy boy.

Regardless of things he has said that I do not agree with, this man had to deal with Helen Thomas on a regular basis and for that I will respect him eternally.

... Just like every single President (or Superbowl winner, for that matter) since the dawn of the United States...

Mentioning God in a speech does not a Fundie make.

And does anyone else think that Jerry Falwell looks like a fat Dave Thomas?
