Ok, This goes back to something that the Dutchess commented upon, the great anthems to the struggles and deaths of the common hero. Which is your favorite?

I'm waiting for Shep, Pablo, or Vymp to jump in with some good, wholesome Soviet songs that can be enjoyed by the entire community bloc.

Born in the USA is a good song, but it does not belong on the list. It is not a positive anthem about the struggles and deaths of the common man. I'm not familiar with the others.

All come to man, though I like working class hero, I really prefer the Copland.

Not to hijack a thread, but this makes me think of one thing which I've been wondering - why are there so many underground black/death metal bands promoting fascism, (eg. Burzum, Abigor, Nokturnal Mortum, Veles and Graveland) while I only can find three which promote Communism??? (Red Warszawa, Timebomb and Stalin Foetus)

(However, it must be noted that Communist bands tend to make up for their scarcity with their preachiness - just look at Rage Against The Machine)

Given that Mao, Pol Pot and Kim Il-Sung killed more people than the likes of Hitler, Franco and Pinochet, it's not as if communism can't be incorporated into the bog-standard "evil" black metal imagery.

PolPot and KimIl and Stalin can be better described as Facists, their totalitarian style of killing is on par with the likes of hitler and pinochet. Marxists by and large are utilitarian. They were powermad megolomaniacs.

Hitler only disliked communism because it was internationalistic. (not because it was collectivistic) Also, according to David Schoenbaum's work "Hitler's Social Recolution", Hitler's economic policies were the most restrictive this side of the Soviet Union.

This only shows Hitler's dissatisfaction with the free market. Hitler only scapegoated communists because they were a rather small movement at that time.

Also - the Nazis noted that former communists made excellent converts to Nazism.

Communists who accept nationalism easily aren't good communists.

Communism was one of the two small factions vying for power in germany after WWI, along with the Nazis, but the nazis better propaganda campaigns and the fact that everyone loves the patriots when the country's poor, were able to rend the social democratic presense from power.
Also there were a great many links between the jewish communities in germany and the communists who had gained some power in the government.
National socialism == Fascism.

Exactly - and that's why fascists aren't considered communists. (It's still notable that Mussolini originally was the leader of a socialist party)

The Soviet Union and Red China hated each other ever since Stalin's death. Does this mean that one of these nations aren't communists??
