Sounds like something out of a SF novel.

Thats just amazing.

But this guy is going to need a lot of help readjusting. For him, one day his wife is pregnant, the next day he has a 19 year old daughter.

I cant even imagine what that would be like.

I wish him the best.

The question that news raised for me was, has the guy become trapped in time? Meaning, there have been cases where damage to some parts of the brain that house long term memory results in people being trapped in a single point in their lives, they remember everything up to that point, but they can no longer gain permanent memories, and they won't recognize themselves in the mirror ten years later because they think they're still living at date X. The way the article said he was still in 1984 made me wonder if this is the case.

Of course, it'd take some serious adjusting to get used to the idea that suddenly it's 19 years later, but that's doable if there is no long term memory damage.

I was just thinking about what this guy is waking up to, and it occured to me.. he gets to explore 20 years of nwe things and have all the fun of a bajillion movies, games, books, tv shows, and such in a blink of his eyes (even if he did miss 20 years of life).

Sort of close, it's another ground breaking movie but has that mental problem. It has Guy Pearce...

I was thinking that too. Guess we'll have to see if he gets visions when he touches people. And if Stephen King makes a trip out to see him. Poor guy. Stephen King is scary.

I suspect they're just easing him through the recovery process. I mean--Damn, Chernenko was the General Secretary of the USSR when he went into that coma. Those were still the Bad Old Days.

Probably, but the way it was worded reminded me of that other guy.

You people all buy the cover story too easily.

He clearly worked for the MiB, and they just neuralised him for the past 19 years. You just watch, in a few years, they'll rerecruit him and make a sequel.
