I'm not obsessed...I just have nothing better to do.

Why is this dangerous? Because we're trying to lure you into a pact with the forces of hell?

What the hell is it with everyones parents watching what you do on the net? My parents don't even dare go near my computer, they don't understand any of this computing thing.

Heck, if my parents saw what I was surfing on the internet, they'd probably start watching.

My parents don't want me mixed up in any unsavory activites. The problem is, they never bothered to define what they meant.

It's funny. My parents are the ones who introduced me to the world of Fantasy and Sci-Fi. They are the ones who actually fund my little Star Wars kicks (figures, books, videos, whatever).

Cultural snobbery. The advance trailers for SW were loudly booed by one artsy-fartsy crowd back in 1977, causing Lucas to have yet another crisis of confidence and think that the film would be a box-office disaster. Of course, the artsy-fartsies did not represent the majority.

What novels does she think you should be reading? And how does she present evidence to show that they are better for your mental and psychological development?
To be fair the trailers I've seen for Star Wars were incredibly bad. I have them on my 'legally obtained' OT DVDs and I think if I saw a trailer like that in the cinema now I'd burst out laughing. They didn't even bother to colour the lightsabres in...

Movie commercials in the 1970s were all like that. The modern style of quick-cut epileptic-editing heavily-produced movie commercials where the whole plot is given away in 20 seconds did not exist back then, because marketing has really changed in the last few decades.

My older brother and I were watching TV one morning in 1977 when we saw the first TV trailer for ANH. We slowly turned our heads towards each other, with our jaws hanging open, and said in perfect unison, "we've gotta see that!".
