"Garbage Pail Kids deals with bodily functions and death and dismemberment, which kids are very much aware of, but it deals with it in a humorous way, which helps kids confront these things."

Somehow I find this quote disturbing. :)

I think I still have some. Unfortunately I took the stickers out and placed them in pages from a photo album. No value. :(:(:(

My sister's fiancé actually has a nearly complete set of the cards. He has 'em in a binder and everything.
I had forgotten that the doubled the number of cards simply be renaming the characters and reusing the artwork. :)

I had over 100 of the cards when I was in 2nd grade (I can't remember how the hell I got them, since I'm fairly sure my mom never bought me any), and traded 'em for a Transformer near the end of that school year (the white Optimus Prime clone that had the red & blue car-carrier trailer) (my mom was rather pleased with the trade :D ). Bastard never gave me any of the accessories for it, though, and I transferred to a new school for 3rd grade.

Edit: Holy shit! There was a movie?!

I heard about these things when I was in second grade but that was in 93, so they must have remained cult celebs for a while.

Hm, a friend of my friend had a whole stack of them in the protective 3x3 binder sleeves. Brings back memories.

If LucasBooks are willing, I hope there'll be a Yuuzhan Vong Garbage Pail Kid.

Holy shit, they are bringing back those shitty little stickers that everyone was buying when I was 8? It's like the 80s just jumped up and shot a load in my eye.
