The trailer was pretty good...

However, I think that, even if it's a masterpiece

it will get a legendary ass-raping at the box-office, what with Two Towers and Gangs of New York opening within a week of its premiere.

Will we see Spacedock in this movie. I've always been pissed off that we've never seen SD in a TNG movie. But it's cool that they have one of those Drydocks A la ST:TMP. I hope we see a send off that mirrors the Enterprise (refit) a la TMP.

Well it does look cool. But so did the previews from first contact, which I thought turned out pretty lame. If nothing else there will be caculations done on the strength of the Enterprises E hull.

The same way we hear TL shots in space, and Shadow ships "scream", and normal Trekships hum, and TIES and X-wings make those funky noises...
Cut them at least a little slack, Ossus. Its a movie, not a science textbook. I'm willing to accept noise in space to make a better movie.

I see you all need a little help in determining some things with this trailer, as there are so many conflicting points of view on this.

Firstly, the bald guy who looks moderately like Picard is called Shinzon. He's a clone of picard. can't you tell

. The wierd green FX in between what is said is about the Romulan cities, and that thing that cloaks is a Reman scimitar. And yes, Troi and Shinzon DO get it on, but Shinzon mind rapes her, and that's where we see Riker and Shinzon fall into eternity with a broken bridge in Deanna's mind(I think). Data has a clone too, and there is an evil Shinzon as well. He's grey and can mind rape too. As for why we can hear the dispensible crewman who looks suspiciously like Data (either that, he's an albino or it's the screwy Realplayer acting up again on me

), the Enterprise actually crashes into the Shuttlebay of the Scimitar (yes, it's that big - it's also why we see people running away from the Enterprise as it crashes). The so - called Bird of prey is nothing more than John Eaves' new design for a Romulan warbird, however. I see that Worf is back, and shooting at things again, and the explosion that results from the collision (I wouldn't be surprised if mr. 'set a collision course for that enemy ship' Riker was in command there) may indeed involve the destruction of the Enterprise. And I imagine that you're all jumping for joy at the thought. Well, don't jump for joy too soon, because all the series' that are left to make a movie with are Voyager, DS9 and Enterprise

The once use of cloning in scifi that I know of is Dark Empire and the multi clones of Palp not only does it require his super Sith powers aswell (granting imortality) but destroys the entire point of the films, I erased that from continuity myself - it never happened you hear, it never happened.

I would love to go upto Lucas and see if he knew of it (im guessing not) and im sure at that moment he would cast out the EU and give DS reason to dance.
