Meanwhile, within Hive Territory...
Two men were sitting in an office.
"So you see, that is why my superriors wish to maintain a continuous working relationship with your company."
"I can understand that but there are people in this company with far more influence then I, I'm not even on the board. I'm not sure what it is that you want me to do exactly."
"We may not need you to do anything. All we need is for you to be on our team. You could do very well."
"This isn't something I'm going to lose my job over is it? My boss takes company loyalty quite seriously."
"No, no, no. We've made arrangements with your superriors, everything is taken care of. This wont be a company loyalty issue"
"Well then, I guess I'm your man."
"Excellent."
The very next day the man found himself on the receiving end of a promotion, and position on the company's board of directors. He couldn't explain why but it seemed as though good things started happening to him. He heard his former immediate superrior was apperantly transferred to another branch on Zerus. Hive citizens seldom worked at one location for any length of time.

The trade convention on Xuan Son V was proceeding as planned, the entire complex filled with foreign merchants, exotic goods, and the Xuan Son citizens interested in them. UC security personnel attempted to patrol the crowded convention floors but the hustle and bustle of the crowd prevented them from doing much. Businessmen and clients made deals and wrote up contracts, the convention a profitable venture for all involved parties, be they farmers, arms dealers, or even those trying to buy and sell black market goods here in the fringes of UCS space.
The casually dressed Kremlinite made his way to one of the booths, looking for one such dealer.
"Greetings. What exactly do you trade in?"
The man at the booth replied cordially, "Oh you know, off-world trinkets and the like."
"Really," said the Kremlinite, "I'd be interested to know if you had any special goods..." He slipped a few credits casually across the booth.
"Hmm... well... I do have a few, ah, specimens fresh from the Federation... for the right price, of course."
"Of course. Would a thousand CPCs procure one of these?"
The dealer motioned him back into a secluded room behind the booth. "Kalick here will direct you to what you need. Thank you for your business."
The burly looking man named Kalick took the customer through a series of back room. "Stand right there," he order gruffly. Two men walked in and searched him for any weapons or espionage. They scanned all transmission frequencies for any signs of a tranceiver. Unfortumately, they missed the primitive radio implanted near his larynx.
"All right you're clean." The big man moved over to a crate and carefully opened it, revealing a comatose child inside. "This one's pretty strong. Makes a good worker. Want him?"
"Hmm... I don't know. I'd have to think on it, perhaps if you'd take him out here so I could get a better look."
The man hesitated then shrugged, pulling the limp boy out of the crate.
"Yes... I think I'll go for it." With those last three words, 7 undercover men keeping an eye on the booth front burst into action, swiftly closing on the dealer and incapaciting him. They pulled sidearms and waited at the door to the back rooms, calling for backup. Two armored shuttles that had been waiting on standby lifted off from nearby buildings and hovered over the complex. Cords spilled out of each as Marines zip-lined down onto the roof and stormed the building containing the slaver booth. The crowd began to panic and most fled as the Marines worked their way to the undercover troops.
"Alright then, midnight at the abandoned marina south of here, tomorrow, for the pickup. Clear?" said the burly man.
"Right," replied the UCI operative.
"Good. Now - what in the hell is all that noise? Rigder, go see what going on!"
One of the slavers went out into the next room and a moment later a soft thud issued from the room.
"What happened?"
"Uh... nothing... I, uh, tripped- RUN THEY'RE ON TO-" He was silenced by the crack of an assault rifle. The undercover agent pulled his pistol and shot the other assistant in one smooth motion. Kalick was taken by surprise and managed to fumble a handgun into his grip but before he could his head was blown off by a Marine storming the room.
"Secure the area, Junior Sergeant!"
"Copy, Lieutenant." Half the Marine contingent split off the secure the rest of the area.
The other Marines began systematically checking the crates, and a medical team was called in to take the freed slaves. "Send the survivors back to the Federation and track this shipment."

[Asteroid Belt - Sol system]
The small vessel conducted its long rage scans of Earth, the cradle of humanity.
"This is very odd. According to our predictions, Earth should be the remnants of an industrial wasteland. It would appear that the atmosphere is breathable, in most places anyway. There appears to be a lot more vegetation then otherwise expected. What we are seeing that was predicted however are wildly fluctuating weather patterns. If we could move in closer we would be able to see more."
"That is not an option yet. The other factions are no doubt monitoring this system. We must remain hidden here until further notice."

Sol System
A Kynda lurked just beyond Pluto's orbit. Its powerful passive sensors where scanning the system, active was withheld. Meanwhile the other ships of the First scouting group had deployed to secure the jump points.
"Captain, were getting faint singles out of the asteroid belt. Could be side lobes from an active sensor." "How long ago, given the single speed the computer estimates at least sixteen hours." "We arrived a day ago, whatever it is it hasn't left. Launch drones to investigate."

The reptilian sons of a distant star have no right to make such statements. The men of the Hive left the Earth long before circumstances forced the rest to do so as well. They left after a great war which they started and lost with their selfish lust for temporal power, or did they think that this would be forgotten? No, the Hive has no claim to the Earth! They were cast out from the homeworld as Allah cast Shaitan from his grace.Alyrium Denryle wrote:If it is your homeworld as well...there is no reason you should not be able to send an expedition...

"Sensor ping!"
"Hostile?"
"Don't know."
"Shit. Activate the cloaking device."
Within moments a scientist in an EVA suit with an attached maneuvering unit emerged from the small craft dragging behind him a large rolled up piece of fabric with a mottled rocky texture on one side and a mesh of shielding much like that found in various forms of wire on the other, its purpose was simply to absorb any sensor signals that would come in which theoretically should make it appear as part of the asteroid. The scientist proceeded to drape the cloak over the ship, making sure the edges were firmly planted in the rock.
Just as he finished one of the drones immediately hovered overhead, turned around and slowly glided back towards him for a closer look.
"Umm...hello" He waved. The radio click being the only other sound apart from his voice, and some heavy breathing.
The drone remained in position, seemingly oblivious to what otherwise appeared to be a mound of rock.
After a few moments the scientist pressed some buttons on his arm and examined the readout.
"Uhh....Bah weep grah nah weep nini bahn."

Lies! That war happened when the system collapsed on its own web of lies. We were the ones that knew the truth, we saved the rest of humanity from developing a rulling caste and we were rewarded with exile because of it!Pablo Sanchez wrote:The reptilian sons of a distant star have no right to make such statements. FTL Visual Transmission through all directions
To all Interstellar governments:
A room with dozens of people inside, at the far edge, next to a window showing a city of Italian Renaissance buildings and flying vehicles passing by. An old man sits there addressing the audience of the transmission.
"People of other Interstellar Governments, this is the planet Asterea, we have remained silent for centuries, now we open lines of communication and commerce to all who are interested, our culture and history is included in this transmission, as well as the coordinates of our system. We will welcome you as mentors for this galaxy which we know little about, and hopefully, friends, for which we can call each other brothers and how this brought new era of wonder to our planet. We await everyone's response."
The Transmission ends, with all said data included.

New Venice, Asterea
In the air, several hover vehicles fly by, making their daily deliveries across the planet. Each one going about on its own business.
At the ground, the area is more busy, it is midday and people are stocking on supplies such as food. And some teenagers are wandering about, collecting specific items given to them by their mentors, for a craftsman, a butcher, a baker, a carpenter, an engineer, can never run out of supplies while open, it could make them lose business.
By the rivers, some children are swimming, with their parents watching, and talking. Ships and boats pass by. Some for pleasure, others for frieght, others for old-fashioned transport.
In the center of town, the senators and their apprentices gather at the central building, a rather large building with an almost royal purple dome at the top. Some young senators are quickly at the top of the long steps, but the more older, and most say wiser, are taking their time getting up.
As all of these things are happening, Inside the capital building, in one of the many hallways, behind one of the doors, are several young adults, all at between the age of 15-19.
Leading this group, is an old man, in his early 90s and nearing retirement, lecturiing them on the long forgotten art of foriegn diplomacy.
"Remember, each of you will be our representatives to a different government, treat their culture with respect. Always listen to what everyone says, and the only thing you can trust is the proven facts."
Most of the teenagers nod their heads.
"Now then, my class is over, and it is time for you all to go prepare your bags, have them ready to be shipped at a moment's notice, for we expect ships from all over the galaxy to come and pick each one of you up and deliver you to their homeworld. I am proud of each of you, and I know you will know what to do when the time comes."
And with that, he dimissed them and they went to prepare for their upcoming trips. The old teacher sat down in his chair and relaxed.
"I just hope that I am not sending you all to your deaths."

The current government of the hve IS NOT the same one that you alledgedly exiled. The people of the hive are not those that aledgeldy waged war on you, and as such they should not be punished for the alledged crimes of their ancestors.
Perhaps we could resolve this issue amicably. Let us conduct a hearing regarding the rights of the hive to observe and visit their own homeworld.

No one exiled the Hive, they left the Earth of their own accord to avoid the justice which they so richly deserved. As has been said, you know nothing of human history. The Caliph forgives, but he does not forget.Alyrium Denryle wrote:The current government of the hve IS NOT the same one that you alledgedly exiled. You have no right to decide anything on this matter. The Caliph recognizes only the authority of humans to decide what shall be done with the homeworld of humans. The Scythians, our nearest cousins, are as far from the species that we will go.Perhaps we could resolve this issue amicably. Now now my dear representative of the Caliphate, It appearss as if we have a bit of a contradiction. Did they leave, or were they exiled? It seems as if you know little of earth history as well.
We may not be human, but we have no desire to see war break out... one in which we may be forced to interpose in the interests of one party or the other. Fankly we were trying to resolve the situation. And a good idea is a good idea regardless of who says it.

Any muslim child knows that Shaitan was offered forgiveness and his place restored in heaven if he would only renounce his apostasy before Allah, a chance which he refused. Thus it was by his own will that he was sent into damnation. If your people will continue to be ignorant of the way of Allah and call it virtue, then they should have the wisdom not to display their foolishness.Alyrium Denryle wrote:"They were cast out from the homeworld as Allah cast Shaitan from his grace."

War? No party has suggested or moved towards war, least of all the Caliph. Your paranoia is unbecoming. We may not be human, but we have no desire to see war break out... one in which we may be forced to interpose in the interests of one party or the other.
Oh, it is a good idea that you have? Perhaps you would also like to tell the Caliph how to tax his merchants, or even how to run his own harem?Fankly we were trying to resolve the situation. And a good idea is a good idea regardless of who says it.
Humans do not need self-important lizards to tell them what they should do with their own planets! You insult us.

It seems as if the Representative from the caliphate is being unreasonable and bigoted.
And I note that he did not address my point on punishing children for their ancestors crimes... And I find his xenophobic statements amusing... I will allow the rest of the delegation to decide on this issue for themselves.

This Caliphate fool speaks in half truths. He is correct in saying that the exile was self imposed, however it was the only option left to us when none of the other powers would give us sanctuary. You see, long ago there was an insidious system of powers that were, how shall we say, pulling the strings behind human society. The communist conspiracy that spawned the UCS is an example of part of that system. Eventually the system collapsed and our people, born to those that were unknowning pawns to that very system were left stranded with no place to call home. Once the system was destroyed we were the only remainder, people blamed us for the corruption of their society even though we were as unwitting as anyone. Exile was our only option, for if we stayed our fathers would surely have been the victims of a terrible genocide.

Which is why we support you in this matter...Spyder wrote:This Caliphate fool speaks in half truths.

An alliance of trade would be benificial to us... but we do not wish to over expand our military alliances as that could prove... foolish.

Our borders are open to the Draconis. You may persue any form of business within Hive territory that you wish. Perhaps we may even persuade you to take a place in our Energy market.Alyrium Denryle wrote:An alliance of trade would be benificial to us... but we do not wish to over expand our military alliances as that could prove... foolish.

To the UCS and Federation of Shadow
The Caliph has decided to commit a carrier group to the defence of Earth, as circumstances have changed sufficiently to convince him of the need to do so. It will depart for Sol upon your confirmation of this message.
He also requests that the UCS and Federation ambassadors to Baghdad would meet with him in the interest of deciding a permanent solution to this matter.
