How to decide, again and again

Post by Matt7 »

We need a game that is SW vs. ST that plays like Homeworld. That way, it can be decided forever.

There's a few Homeworld ST v SW games, but naturally the SW ships are too weak so it's interesting.

As for myself, I enjoy fanfics more than I would a game. A game would
give you one set scenario, while with the fanfics, each person comes up
with a different scenario, and this makes for more variety and more
interesting. To me anyway.

Mat done it did that

Well me and a couple of friend did it, but not with a computer game, instead using a good old fashion paper and dice one.

After scaling the weapons damage to simulate the differents in fire power the Federation vessel didnot last out a single round.

That was before the AOTC ICS book up the scale, sooooo it would now be even a greater mismatch..

First of all, anyone with a bit of moding experience can (and has) make a game like Armada into ST vs SW. It wouldn't prove anything since he could just make a tie fighter equal to a GCS ot something.

Have the SW mod for Star Trek Armada. I hold off the communis -- er, Feddies until I build one each SSD .... then it's over.

Some people here do play it. It's just that nobody cares for your infantile "I wanna see something fun!" threads...

no, i've seen SW mods for HW. I was thinking that if you had a fairly made mod, you guys could play SW vs. ST in Homeworld (I think the game's premise and mechanics would make a viable testing ground for this), and was wondering if anyone has ever done this?

Why? How many times can you blow up every single Star Trek ship that comes at you with one shot while keeping it interesting? Or are you just a sadist?

I have that mod. I regularly dish out death to the Imperial scum, or I bash some Feddie heads. Or I play as the Rebels and use that uber torp against everyone :)

Fancy a game some time?

There is a mod for homeworld called.....well something. I think it's along the lines of "Invasion". You can find it at the SWTC that Zeelich (sp) runs...and I don't have the website, just do a search. Anyway, it has SW and ST ships. You can simply open the damn shp files in a text editor and bring the SW ships up to par with what they should be. No big deal.

Ah, but they will be to the other civs as the Aztecs and Mayans are to the other TC civs(No cavalry/Mechs) I guess they can include the buggy, though.
