Borg Collective vs Imperial Science Division

Post by Omega-13 »

OK,
SCENARIO : A starship from the race of the walkers of sigma 957 from B5 has crashed landed on a small moon, its fragmented into many pieces scattered over several miles. The moon is similar to the planet Venus, hot, with a thick atmosphere.

QUESTION : IF a Borg Cube arrived at the scene, and decided to look into the crash, would they have the ability to piece it together, and learn its secrets?

Now take the borg out of the equation, and put an Imperial science ship there instead, would they be able to do it?

Who would do it first? could either do it at all?

The imperial science ship has the standard crew, and droids, and have access to the Imperial database

The collective has access to the entire collective.

So who can piece it back together, no Walkers were found at the crash site.

The Borg couldn't figure out how to assemble a Lego kit, even with the instructions. They lose.

Imperal Science Vessels, Hmm normaly I belive from old WEG those are converted Frigits? with Fighter room/mantence removed along with some weaponry for addtional shielding and Lab space

Since basicly Borg Collect acts like 1 say 200 IQ person working on the problem while the Imperal Science team acts like 200 say 180 IQ smart people its not hard to see who would figure it out first

The Borg are buffoons. Rigid buffons.
They might get soemwhere if they assimilate the technology, but that's unlikely, and they've got no crew to assimilate, so they're basically headless.
No contest.

Let's put it this way. After what, 6 mounths of fighting 8472 who could resist assimilation, their greatest tactic was to send a bunch of cubes and play "We are the Borg"

The bigger question is, would the Borg even care?

The Doctor was able to create effective weaponry against S-8472 in a couple of hours. The Borg have the intelligence of DarkStar.
