Know this is satire, but recommend it be moved to ST vs. SW anyway...

Sci-fi pundit Marc Eisenburg, 38 of Apple Valley, Minnesota, was dealt harsh criticism by members of the Star Trek fan community yesterday when he presented his controversial paper A Star Destroyer Could Beat the Enterprise E to a packed crowd in convention room 102 at the Bloomington Radisson during the annual Star Trek convention.

In an unrelated story French Army officials chastised and ridiculed a defense expert who presented a controversial paper: Nazi Tanks Can Defeat The Maginot Line to a packed crowd at a cabinet meeting in Paris.

Geez, talk about reinventing the wheel.

Well, someone has linked the main page over at the Fark thread I posted. I imagine we will soon be getting a few visitors who will completely ignore everything outside the SWvsST forum and dismiss every member of the board as geeks without sex lives.

Fun times.

What a putz-head. So the hell what!!. Dude, remember, it's FICTION. It's like getting into a huge argument over how many angels can dance on a proton. Does it really matter?.

You've heard of satire haven't you?

Anyway, the argument itself is trivial, but the concepts behind it are not. Logic and intelligence are always worth defending.

On that note, the warsie in the story was a moron.

Well, the HoS is always ready to open its welcoming doors to another trekkie moron.

On a side note, I browsed through the thread and found this:

Wrong place, wrong time, wrong people. :?

And this guy seems to throw Darth Vader on every ISD.....a SD doesn't need Lord Vader to blast E-E
"I've heard people use the transporter argument before," said Eisenburg. "And I just have one thing to say to them: use the force, dude! Vader could use a Jedi mind trick on the transporter chief and make him transport those torpedoes right back onto the Enterprise!"

The same shit is taking place at Trekbbs. Rabid trekkies cliaming that the E-E would smack down the ISD, and calling SD.net a "biased source"
