Huh a Senior Sergant that don't know the term "cannon Fodder"??

Anyways good luck in the marines. I sorta wish that Sweden had a professional army with the possibilities(sp?) you guys have.

I just did my time learned how to blow shit up did't earn any cash, the skills I got is worthless in civ life and army is no merit here because 90% of the males in my age have also done it..

6 miles is good, but you only get graded on the 3 miles. But your right, running 6 miles a day will put you in the top one percent.

Crunches are good, but unless they changed the PFT, 80 sit ups is what you need to do.

Work on your pullups too, thats also part of the PFT. (unless they have changed it in the last 6 years)

Be a Cryppie Marine, then you can go to school in scenic Center for Naval Cryptology, Corry Station, Pensacola Florida.

Mr. Bean and Tysroc can both confirm Corry is one of the best places you can go for school.

I hope those two play along.

Know your dad's support means a lot to you -- my dad's opinion of me means much to me too (he was in tears when I finally received my commission in the Army). Hopefully that Marine NCO at the recruiting office will talk to him and give him a better perspective on the Corps. I'd be damned proud of you if you went with that decision. But it's a weighty decision to make, so ponder it carefully. A military life is demanding at times and often times boring, but it is an ethos in which one becomes inalterably immersed for good or ill. I have a high school degree.

I am using said highschool degree to get me in the marines.
I am using said marines to pay for college.
I am using college degree to make officer.
I am using officer rank to gain entrance into cia.

I feel like a ping ball.

oh, anyone want to confirm 2 yrs education post high school for ocs? Ive heard that from several military people, but my mom is questiong.

ever since I read how the cia took down the soviet union (yes, oversummary, I know), Ive been fascianted by them.

hehe - I am in the best shape of my life, and prolly can handle more excercises then 3/4 of my school. I figured Id be ok with the marine weekly practice - not superb, but ok.

well,

they assigned more exercises, tougher excercies, and longer excercises, then Ive ever done before. I ended up on the ground about to die, and wasnt the only one.

every evening I died, and every evening I was born again. . .

thats the feeling I have. toughest day ever. I want more.
