Most critics' approach to private conversation with Bush is positive.

I recently heard Nelson Mandela speak on MTV. Based ony your qualifications, the man is a retarded idiot without the physical qualifications for proper speach defined above. No matter personal opinions of his actions before and after 1994, it's simply untrue.

And his policies might be a matter for debate; they hardly seal your argument that he is stupid.
And you can seriously argue that his unconstitutional policies are intelligent?

Look, if Reagan's son, Michael, said he was an idiot based on his bahaviour at a meeting they both attended, that's pretty bad.
"Right now we can tell you a report was filed by the family of a 12 year old boy yesterday afternoon alleging Mr. Michael Jackson of criminal activity. A search warrant has been filed and that search is currently taking place. Mr. Jackson has not been charged with any crime. We cannot specifically address the content of the police report as it is confidential information at the present time, however, we can confirm that Mr. Jackson forced the boy to listen to the Howard Stern show and watch the movie Private Parts over and over again."

"If a man cannot manage his native tongue, how can he manage his native land?" - Chuck Jones

The question was asked about Warren Gamaliel Harding (quoted from his father), but it's perfectly applicable to George Walker Bush.

No, I don't have a soundbit. It was on last night though. I was flipping back and forth between that and "I Love the 80s."

Anyway, the point is that Mandela's statements were too often disjointed. They only made sense because of the context of the conversation. Not to mention his inability to speak properly anymore.

Again, most critics claim Bush is extremely personable and convincing in private. That he speaks well and gives a much better appearance than on national television.

As for the "native tongue" crap, I'll bet you make mistakes from time to time, too - and would make a lot more if on camera all the time, preening for a public.

Double that is an optimistic estimate, IMO.

The F-22's 35 million dollar cost predated it even entering the mockup phase, indeed that cost was before the finnal program requirements had even been set. The original cost of the air force variant of JSF at the same stage was 28 million; well actually I think that was a goal not an estimate. The F-35 on the other hand is flying.

In other news, I've now found something I find much more reliable which places the warload of both the X-32 and X-35 at 17,000 pounds. This makes sense, six 2000-pound weapons on external pylons, along with two internal and a couple AAM's.

Well whoopie-doo. It's his public face that people care about, not how he looks when he's sitting in his living room.

There's a BIG difference between being on a carrier at sea, far from the danger, for a year, and being in a combat zone for six months. For one thing, on the carrier, you get air conditioning, good chow and are relatively safe, while on the ground there's no air conditioning, the chow is shitty and you're at constant risk.

His age doesn't necessarily give him the excuse to mangle grammar.

You've never choked? I did, once. On a tomato. I suppose I can't be President now.

Of course we want to know what he's like when "he's sitting in his living room." The question was whether he is intelligent. Private moments count.

Fine.

In my opinion, Rumsfeld is little better than creationists. He takes his own ideals (these being smaller government through subcontracting to other companies) and puts them in front of cold hard facts, those being that it's a LOT cheaper, simpler, and more directly manageable to have the Army and its corps of Engineers rebuild this Saddam Forsaken country than subcontract it to a bunch of people who are slow, bitchy, and hideously expensive. From all of you people who complain about how the government spends 500 bucks on a toilet seat due to mismanagement of finances, well, the government can now make this back up to you 150-fold. Don't let your irrational fears of a larger government swindle you out of your hard earned tax money!

The reasoning that gets the Air Force 500-dollar toilet seats also gets it 500-dollar diagnostic computers for F-117's you know. The Army Corps of Engineers doesn’t have the resources and personal to rebuild Iraq, so if they where given the mission the whole process would simply not be happening while they where busy expanding massively to do it. It makes more sense to bring in companies, which have the personal and equipment and knowledge ready to go.

Not everybody who believes in God is immediately an idiot, this board's opinion aside.
Um... yes it would... with age comes decreasing motor function and cognative ability...
But he's always been that way, hence age doesn't make him any less a candidate for criticism.

There's a difference between believing in some sort of all-powerful creator and believing childish laughable myths over hard scientific evidence, thank you. Maybe you should read what I said again.

The creation myth? You know, Earth was created in six days, we were made of dirt, woman comes from Adam's rib, whoppers like the Great Flood- you know- fucking moronic ideas that fly in the face of the evidence and only hold water as *literal truth* with utter drooling imbeciles?
