"Drink Beer Not Milk"??? At least the PETA have some humour. Not like those ALF guys... they are to vegetarians what the IRA are to Celtic people...

Part of the problem with all of these right or left wing groups (Greenpeace, many right-wing militias), is that they always become incredibly radical over time. This is because the people who are actively trying to get things done are always their most radical members, and so the radicals rapidly gain more power within these groups. While Greenpeace and those paramilitary groups undoubtedly have reasonable people in them, as a group they are always downright extremist because their radicals are the ones who speak for the group. PETA is no exception.

Peta is a joke.Trying to force everyone to be vegetarians and such.They go on programs and try to defend chickens for crying out loud.Now they're trying to change the traditional branding formers give their cattle.I don't see how they can expect to be taken seriously.

Those ALF dweebs torched a McDonalds a few miles from my house. It has been rebuilt as a newer, cleaner, more drive-thru friendly McDonalds.

The put out some press release on why they did it and it sounded pretty lame.

If I remember correctly the McDonald's torching happened not too long before September 11, 2001. So, the FBI's interests were probably focused elsewhere.

I do think that ALF got a universally negative reaction to burning a McDonalds down so I haven't heard of anything they've done this year.

Either way it was stupid. There are so many McDonalds and other fast food places in this city (rivaled by the number of conveinence stores) I don't see that they were making a decent point other than they are idiots. In that city block I think there is a Subway and a Jack In the Box as well as several local restaurants.

If they want to save animals from testing and such, why don't they volunteer to take their place? What, no? Alright, well then we'll keep on using animals. I like animals and certainly don't like seeing unnecessary or unnecessarily cruel experiments but I value human life over any animal.

They're just plain stupid. Humans are omnivores. That's the way it is. Why should we save every last animal? Only a bunch of lefty morons would think that a purely vegan life style should forced on every person in the world.

I once shared an office with a PETA person. I was reading her magazine, and they advocated using super computers to emulate animal research. I asked her how a computer can emulate unexpected or unknown biological processes, she said, thats why you use a super computer.

She did not understand that computers are not like on TV. I cant tell it to theorize, or take a guess, or any such nonsense.

I'm actually not sure how much validity that claim has (and I'd be glad to use it if I knew for certain it was true; I'm a militant carnivore). It does appear that he was on a vegetarian diet for much of his life, but he did occassionally deviate from it.

A lot of people on the right have used this and similar claims as proof of Hitler's leftism, but I think this is wrong. It's incorrect to associate Adolf Hitler with completely either political wing; rather, he was the worst of both the right and the left.

I just finished an assignment working for Animal Control, and god do I detest these lunatics. The "humaniacs" is what people in the office called them. You know: the kind of people who are calling to report "cruelty to animals" if they see someone leave their dog out in the back yard for 2 minutes. I always wanted to respond to "this is so-and-so with PETA and I have a complaint" with "hold on a sec, let me put my hamburger down and I'll help you with that." The roach story doesn't surprise me one bit: these are the same guys who put orange vests on live-trapped deer thinking that hunters in Ohio wouldn't shoot them. They're also the same bunch who I once got a cruelty call from on a circus before the circus was even in the state. It's proof that the Left can breed loonies every bit as irritating as the Pentehostiles on the Right when they try.

The bright side about these idiots is that a lot of them don't eat a vegetarian diet with a proper balance of nutrients. Vitamin deficiencies should eventually do them in while us meat-eating Warsiopaths thrive!
