"I think we should follow the river Ness to the southwestern coast, then cross over and travel along the coastal roads, or alternatively take a ship to Wales."

The first sounds like a good plan. It would allow me to avoid having to pass as human in human settlements

About how much, and in what forms? (just give me an order-of-magnitude estimate - I'm going to take a quick glance in the bag and stuff it in my backpack to avoid attracting undue attention from backalley toughs and similar less than savory types).

I edge away from the window, draw my sword when I'm out of his sight, and slip out the back door of Duncan's house. Then I quietly walk around the house to see if I can capture the humanoid and discover what he was doing spying on us...
