Yes, the Fellowship of the Ring versus The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen.
Using stupendous magic, Sauron has brought the League into Middle-Earth. His human agent has informed them that he can return them to their own time and place if they can bring him a plain gold ring known to be carried by a hobbit named Frodo Baggins who was last seen in the Elvish Conclave of Rivendell in the Misty Mountains. The agent provides the League with maps of Middle Earth to help them. The Nautilus can navigate up the Anduin river as far as the Falls of Rauros (where the Fellowship broke up at the end of The Fellowship of the Ring, in case I'm getting place names wrong).
The League has everything they were carrying aboard the Nautilus when they left London, and none of the League members will turn traitor for the duration of this mission.
The Fellowship has everything they carried with them from Rivendell.
The Ringwraiths will not bother the Fellowship while the League is on their trail, but Sauron's other forces (both his and Saruman's orcs) will still oppose them.
Can the League track down the Fellowship?
Can the League wrest the Ring from the Fellowship in a fight?
Would the League turn the Ring over to Sauron?
This could turn into a fanfic if we let it go long enough.

"This is not bad; this is a conspiracy to remove happiness from existence. It seeks to wrap its hedgehog hand around the still beating heart of the personification of good and squeeze until it is stilled."

Movie or book?
If movie, do they have the car? If book, do they have one of those airships?

The car is stored on board the Nautilus, but the League can only use it if they can find a suitable road. It's not an ATV, you know.SirNitram wrote:If movie, do they have the car?

Is this a "no one cares" situation or a "too little information" situation?
