Okay, how would you handle it if you were somehow in a position to influence US Policy? Or policy in your own contry, if there is debate in your home nation?

I am pretty much pro-choice in this debate. I do not like the idea of late-term abortions since I feel that well before the third trimester a woman should already know whether she wants/can afford a baby.

Abortion should be allowed under any circumstances, however, in the events of rape, incest, threat to mother's life or if the baby is proven to be victim of debilitating birth defects. I think minor girls (under 18) should be able to get an abortion but only one tme without parental notification. One time may be an accident-- but after that, it is a pattern that must be addressed.

Abortion should be kept safe and legal-- if outlawed, the demand will still be there and quacks and back-alley 'doctors' will destroy millions of women's lives and reproductive ability. Keep it in the open where it can be regulated.

Allow women choice on whether or not to have an abortion up until a point where it can reasonably well be assumed that the child would survive (which would place it somewhere around the 5 to 6 month mark), and any abortions after that would have to have some solid reasoning behind them (such as carrying the baby to term being a risk to the health of both mother and child) and be approved by more than one doctor. Partial birth abortions would get the people performing them a charge of first degree murder.

Actually, if you took the current Finnish legislation about the issue, it's roughly that way already. I don't remember all the specifics, but I do remember that there was nothing to complain about them.

It depend on the situation,rape,incest or any medical condition abortion is acceptable,but if they want abortion any time cause they can`t tell their boyfriends or husbands,put on a condom,i say no "its not a tumor dammit".

Abortion should be legal in any case up to the point that the fetus becomes viable on its own. After thet, there must be a valid medical, psychological, or a very significant financial/social reason to abort.

Partial Birth abortons should of course be illegal...

I think abortion is a pretty horrible thing (not counting the RU-486-style 5-day abortion). That said, I think abortions should be legal up until the third trimester (at that point, you've had plenty of time to get a legit abortion, so just accept responsibility for your actions).

Abortion is bad, but sometimes its the least bad of the options available.

I would draw the banning line conservatively on 'no brain functions' side of development. I would make late term exceptions but only for reasons of medical necessity.

I remain a staunch advocate of choice, though I feel additional steps must be taken to educate youth on the dangers of sexual activity (protected or otherwise) with several or unfamiliar partners.

My only objections to choice come during the final stages of child development – assuming, of course, there is no medical risk to the mother.

I'd say that it should only be legal when the mother's life is threatened, which with today's technology would mostly be in cases where the mother is in her early teens.

Realisticly I'd say that the only types of abortion that will become illegal will be late term abortions.

I think for the most part that abortions are used as birth control which is BS. If the mothers life is in danger, if the victim was raped, incest etc are all ok to have an abortion.
