good god i'm running out of time!

Post by Col. Crackpot »

Picked up the marriage licence yesterday. really didn't hit me until i went to bed last night. All i could think was 18 days Just 18 days until the wedding according to the wedding countdown clock sitting atop my vcr courtesy of my soon to be sister-in-law. There is something about that piece of paper.....I know Melissa and I have filled out many of those silly wedding quizzes she finds in the seemingly endless supply of bridal books, but there is something momentous about that paper. I am pretty excited now, i can see the light at the end of the tunnel now. The long year of tux fittings and menu planning and florists and DJ's and phtographers and entire days devoted to the of buying of the silliest things that we will only use once. (personalized bowling shirts for the rehersal for example ) Our mothers trying to one up each other. Not to mention hours of sitting with the pastor biting my tounge for the sake of peace tranquility and for that one hour of Jesus to keep the family at bay. It's all sinking in now. I'll be sure to post and keep you updated on the more ludicris and amusing events....and there will be a great many pictures on the net for all to see. I'm sorry...i'm rambling and i can't seem to get much done today and i figued if i wrote this and got it out of my head i'd be a little more productive but i'm sure it won't be long before i slip back into a state of bewildered amusement. Thanks for letting me blow off some steam.

Should we say: "Another one bites the dust" or "Have a great life togather you two love birds"?

Hey, i like Queen. As a matter of fact i suggested that that particular song be played. However some people don't find it as amusing as i do.

Congrats, BTW how do the quiz books say you match up?

As for song picks, the funniest thing I ever heard at a wedding was someone playing (forgotten the exact title and singer now, :() "I'm stuck with you till the end of time." Hilarious.

we match up pretty good actually. Oh and i have already gotten the OK to have Jimmy Buffett's "Why Don't We Get Drunk (and screw)" towards the end of the night when the bluehairs are good and drunk. Now THAT is a wedding song!

Let's compromise and use the theme from Flash Gordon.

Kids....*shudder*...I don't mind them when they're small and cute, but then later they can walk and get themselves into trouble and before you know it they're answering back, bleeding you dry and start introducing you to their "friends". The only appropriote quote I can think of right now is "Good luck...Your gunna need it."
