PETA has got the worst PR department this side of NASA (Heinlein once said something about NASA to the effect, how can you stage the biggest event in human history -- the moonlanding -- but bore the shit out of the whole planet at the same time?)

PETA manages to offend and unimpress and chase off folks by delivering poorly worked out and ill-considered messages ... and I'm coming from a perspective of being vegetarian since 87 and vegan since 96, so it REALLY pisses me off. Not that I expect to find much understanding on the issue, given the posts that preceded mine ...

They are in Norfolk, Virginia. If you know where the Dowtown is, they are down Brambleton Avenue just across a bridge from NOAA. I work just a couple of miles from their headquarters.
