A metallic yellow Peugeot 206 station wagon (a 206 with an extra foot added on to the boot), manual, power steering (call me lazy) and various other snazzy things, very nice... :)

Well, you see, up until last year I owned a '77 Fort Thunderbird. I am a very economical person--I got the car when I went to college, and, well, it just ran superbly ever since. I eventually ran it up to 300,000 miles. And it also got 12 MPG.
wow, thats a good long life, Ford built some real tanks back in the 70's.... well except for the mustang II. i could never get away with that though, we just drive too much. My (soon to be) wife's civic is only 6 years old and already has 200,000 miles on it, and we don't even use that car on the weekend, we use mine..... i don't know how the hell we can live in the smallest state and drive so damn much.

I drive a 1992 Pontiac Grand Am SE. Nice car but I doubt it'll have another year left in it. But then again maybe it will. I bought the car on Feb '01 and since then I've put in 90,000 klicks on it.

All i can say is, late model cars suck, the 80's rule!
If you want a good drag car from the 80's then the best bet is an 1987 Buick Grand National GNX. 3.8 litre (3785 cc / 231.0 cu in) V6 with twin intercooled 15psi Garret turbochargers. Now THAT is a musclecar!

I get around in my mum's Hyundai Excel. It's basically on step away from the cars in the Flintstones where I need my feet out the bottom.

I have two cars.

My first car is a 1987 Chevy Nova. Manual 5 speed transmission and 35 miles to the gallon, Air Conditioning, and the all-important cruise control. Even remained drivable after I plowed into a deer - just one month after I bought it of course... I paid $250 cash for it and drove it for four years. It's currently sitting out back awaiting funds to replace the entire exhaust system, the rear struts, and some wiring.

My Current car is a 1986 Mercury Cougar. Automatic transmission (would have prefered manual). Has Air Conditioning but it needs recharged. Had to replace the alternator twice. Otherwise it works fine. Paid $600 for it.
