Star Wars: Episode III: Both Producer Rick McCallum & Visual Effects Supervisor John Knoll talked with fans on the official site and revealed a few short details. Berman confirmed "Christopher Lee has arrived in Sydney, but he hasn't started shooting yet" whilst there is a character coming from the expanded SW universe (ie. in the novels), but "those scenes won't be shot until early next year, so there hasn't even been any casting yet". Meanwhile Knoll says the Stormtroopers will "still be CGI and they'll be noticably different", there "are currently no plans for a CG Chewbacca" and "Wat Tambor is back and badder than ever". Finally not only will we be seeing more of Coruscant, but there's more planets in this movie than any previous Star Wars film has had. Thanks to 'Kenny'.

There was massive debate over whether the Stormtroopers were clones or not after AOTC.

However, it was often ignored, including by myself, that some Stormtroopers had always been clones in the EU, and all that happened since AOTC is it was clarified the proportions of recruits and clones, with recruits being the exception and minority.

Take what I like discard the rest. It is patently absurd that there are only 1.2 million clones. The Death star alone later on would have housed something like a quarter of the entire Stormtrooper corps if that were the case.

Mara Jade would be silly, since she'd only be about two to five years old. That is, if she was even born in the first place...

I don't want to see Thrawn, and I'm actually really turned off by the idea of it. It'd be a much too obvious wink to the fans.

I'd like to see Sate Pestage. And performed by David Warner, if I could choose. The only possible problem is that by the time the X-wing novels/comics era EU rolls around, he'll end up as an ancient old man. But that might depend on how old he's depicted as in those sources (I've never read them).

But if that's what it takes for David Warner to play Sate Pestage, I'm willing to take that risk.
