I was involved in an ST vs SW thread earlier on nationstates, and Eddy is a member of that site. He seems to regret what he did to get banned, and I was wondering if he could be allowed back on a probation type thing, to see if he could get along this time. What do you guys think?

I dont know about the Culture remark, but the thing that got him banned according to him was a flamewar about religion.

Wasn't he that guy that thought a Jedi's precog could save him from the Culture? I know there was somebody like that. Anyways, all Eddy ever did was make post after post crying like a wounded innocent: "Why are you being mean to me?" and other such bullshit.

He was banned primarily for putting out of context quotes in his sig, which showed him to be an actual troll and not just a moron.

Well, as I said, he does regret his actions, and as I suggested, we could put him on a probation type deal, with a VI title and all.

I say give him a chance. He seems willing from what limited information I have. Though tell him he is on probation and that if he screws up again, he's gone for good (or just a REALLY long time).

I did some more talking with him on nationstates, apparently hes changed his views on homosexuality, and has become more moderate about religion.

EDIT: Heres what he said

1. I don't think Harry Potter is evil.
2. I am actually for gay-rights.
3. I debated racists on their own ground twice.

Though since I was one of the targets (and the one that campaigned for his banning) I'm a little biased.

And as an admin I'll be staying well away from this issue.

Meh, I don't really see why it would be up to us. If he really wants back, have him petition Mike or on of many supermods and/or admin.
