I'm with Busey
Ok, I've seen an episode of I'm with Busey on Comedy Central and I have to ask from those in the know. Is Busey actually INSANE? Is he brain damaged from the motorcycle accidents? Is he just hamming it up for the sake of the show, because I can't tell. I know that in a recent appearance on Howard Stern he wrestled Howard to the floor and tried to fondle Robin. What's his deal?

Isn't he the one that is constantly thrown into the drink tank at the local jail? Mr Joshua likes his drinkie pooh, but appearentely only has a few brain cells left. IMO.
They say, "the tree of liberty must be watered with the blood of tyrants and patriots." I suppose it never occurred to them that they are the tyrants, not the patriots. Those weapons are not being used to fight some kind of tyranny; they are bringing them to an event where people are getting together to talk. -Mike Wong
But as far as board culture in general, I do think that young male overaggression is a contributing factor to the general atmosphere of hostility. It's not SOS and the Mess throwing hand grenades all over the forum- Red

I've seen two episodes of that show, and I feel extremely sorry for what's-his-face (Adam?) who has to be yanked around by Gary, because he comes across as a frighteningly and dangerously delusional person. Yikes! Did you see the one about technology, where Adam brings Gary to a large electronics store?! Oy...

There's something very wrong with him, but I doubt he's naturally as wild as he is for the show.
Zaia--
Since Adam de la Pena came up with and pitched the idea to Busey and was fully familiar with the man's history, I can't feel sorry for him. I feel more for Jimmy Kimmel when he had Busey on his show. Gary ate some nachos laced with squirrel blood right in front of him and was in a constant state of freak-out, and seriously frightened the other guest.

I watched the one where Gary is following Adam around while Adam is on a date and just creepy as hell. That's exactly what I felt. Like Gary would snap at any moment and hurt that kid. I can't tell if its an act or not.Zaia wrote:I've seen two episodes of that show, and I feel extremely sorry for what's-his-face (Adam?) who has to be yanked around by Gary, because he comes across as a frighteningly and dangerously delusional person. Meh, if he was really as insane as his persona suggest, I think he'd have been booked on assault or worse by now.Stravo wrote:I watched the one where Gary is following Adam around while Adam is on a date and just creepy as hell. It's the most fucking hilarious show this side of Family Guy, and it's as close to reality television as I'll watch without getting sick.
(BTW, anybody got a filmography of Busey's work? I know I have seen him before, but I don't recall where.)

I'm With Busey is pure fucking genius.
I think Dalton's right, though. Busey is a crazy motherfucker for sure, but he's probably well aware of how crazy he seems, and he's doing it at least in part to mess with people. But you would have to be crazy in the first place to come up with some of that stuff.

And you may ask yourself, 'Where does that highway go to?'

Gary Busey vs. Ted Nugent. LEt them both loose in the deep forests of yellowstone nationsal park and fence off the area with high voltage wires. Randomly scatter various weapons and ammuniton. Place cameras everywhere. Film, REality TV finally does something right.

So, did Spanky call you that outside the board before I got to it or something?

Calm, my small friend. They're not really the same kind of show. At all. They have different lengths, time slots, and purposes. They can coexist peacefully! In fact, if they were to unite...my god...Darth Garden Gnome wrote:Conan crush Busey! CONAN SMASH!
