The denizens over at ASVS already knows this but last November my ear\nose\throat specialist said that I needed an MRI to see whether or not I have Menier's Syndrome (one of its effects is this; imagine having a hangover but without the drinking. Also my balance and hearing is slightly diminished.). He makes a call to the hospital and in a couple of days the hospital calls me and I managed to get an appointment for later that week. The time came and I had the MRI done. Couple of days after that, I get a call from the hospital saying that they have to do a more localized MRI scan and made an appointment a week from the first MRI scan. That day came and went and I had the second scan done. A week later, my specialist calls me to see him. I do and he tells me that I do have Menier's. (well duhh, I've been diagnosed with Menier's Syndrome 8 years ago)
Anyways, the specialist told me that the results from the scan shows that everythings fine (except the MS part) but there is a slight deviation of the pituitary stalk (in other words, the front part of my brain is slightly pushed to one side. One of the reasons could be brain tumour.). He said that he was going to forward the results to my GP.To make a too long story short my GP suggest another MRI and calls the hospital. It has been 7 months and still no call from the hospital and my GP says there's nothing he could do.
How long is going to be until I find out whether or not I have a brain tumour. One would think that for such a patient one would place that person near the front of the line. AAARRRRGGGGHHH!!!
Why does it take so long for an MRI?

Get on their asses. They should have been able to tell you AT LATEST the next day. My Grandmother had them for her brain cancer, and they were faster than that. When my dad had a suspected case of appendecidis, they were able to tell that day.

Sounds like a case of lost paperwork, no call is ever going to come until you hound someone into looking it up for you.
