Capture? No, we'll just kill one of his doubles and put the double on the screen...

Then we torture Saddam 24/7 for the rest of his days, and those days are prolonged, of course...

If that's the case we had him over to some body which will try him for his crimes. It'd the PR moment of the whole business if we could do that.

But I think it's much more likely he'll simply refuse to be taken alive. He's just to self involved to concieve of anything else. It's the same reason he rode the whole mess down in flames rather than cooperate at the start or even later when he turned down a cushy exile.

Parade him through Washington in chains, leading up to the steps of the White House where President Bush, clad in a toga and a laurel wreath, will accept his formal surrender before beheading him with a gladius...

Or not. ;)

No, that works. Though another possibly is the Mussolini option, kill him via machine gun, then hang his corpse upside down from a local gas station.

Even better still would be to allow Hussein to be tried by physical combat. Give Hussein and the biggest, baddest Marine in the Corps each a sword and let them fight it out on Soldier Field.

Give whoever tipped troops off the appropriate award money after DNA testing confirms that it is the actaul Saddam Hussein, perhaps a smaller reward for one of his doubles, try him for appropriate crimes, and have him be the bitch of some sex-starved African ex-dictator.

Nah, we did it with out the UN and international support, or so it has been said.

Personally, I hope he just gets capped like his boys. The political headaches of trial here, trial there and all the people and nations bitching that we didn't do it right and we violated Saddams civil rights and all the other bull shit that would happen makes methink that two to the torso and one to the head is the best plan.

I suspect that once the Americans figure out where he is, they'll knock on the door and open up with heavy weapons at the first sign of resistance, thus virtually ensuring that he won't make it out alive. Didn't they say Saddam's boys were killed by shrapnel from missiles fired into the house?

Bean, they've already done the Saddam Hussein gimmick in 1991 when the first gulf war was in effect. I suspect many fans would yawn and accuse Vince McMahon of re-using old gimmicks.

Probably. All hail Imperium Americana. Or something like that.

See, this is the shit people are talking about when they say Bush is losing the peace. Killing Hussein will just make him a martyr and provoke more attacks against American soldiers who are just trying to execute their mission.

And people wonder why I don't like Bush (well, there's that little issue about having been royally fucked by the economy, but that's another gripe).

They fired 10 TOW missiles into the place. 200 versus 4 or something. It wasn't exactly a self-defense situation- taking them alive would've been preferable.

Saddam will almost certainly be killed- can you imagine the things he knows from the West's flirtations with him throughout the 1980s? Embarassing.

Why, if you measure the political fall out of civil rights and where to put them trough trial and the other circus's waiting to happen against the info they might or might not revel, I would say it would hardly be worth keeping them alive.

Besides, their crib probable has more actual intel then their physco brains would ever leak out. I have to believe that comm intel and other documents containing good shit has to be in their little safe house.

Fuck em, I don't shed a tear nor will I if they cap dad. What intel they had in their coco nuts is intel we can probably get elsewhere. If anything a good message was made by fucking them up.

I was very vocal about opposing the war in the first place, but that doesn't mean I liked Saddam, and the sooner we put a bullet (or a Howitzer shell) in his sorry megalomaniacal ass, the happier I'll be. Fuck capturing him.
